None of the companies you listed above hired me. Maybe I just got extremely lucky with 0 years of experience , but I worked my butt really hard during my undergrad to make sure I learn everything I needed to be succesful at landing a job post grad. I was not informed of any CCM exams maybe it's different with each country.

I disagree with most of you a new RN with no experience can infact be a CM all depends on knowledge and individual abilities!! Now I got offered a CM job paying 70k a year but again maybe because I am bilingual but all the same this proves that rules do have exceptions !The interview was though and I was going against experienced RNs , I had to go for 3 different rounds of interviews but I got the job . Everything is possible.

I must agree with what others are saying, PSWs are valued members of the HCT but are unregulated and do not have the judgement, training , knowledge and skills that RPNs are trained to have. Two years of education makes a huge difference belief me . Now it will be harder to tell the difference between an RN and RPN (2 years of schooling)in my opinion but definately not PSW.Now I'm an RN and did my first year placement in long term care as a PSW and in my second year most of the (nurses) I worked with were RPNs and till now working as an RN , it's hard to distinguish between an RN or RPN scoop of practice as I have come to realize RPNs are incredibly skilled and knowledgeable but the difference is obvious when it comes to PSWs.its like comparing apples and bananas!!

I agree with everyone, nursing here is tough for us Canadian new grads to get jobs so I could only imagine an IEN. Hopefully by the time to get here things would have picked up .

Study groups are definitely a great idea, we had a study group for 3 weeks before the exam and all of us in that group passed. Its amazing how you could easily over read a question. Good luck

Well said, life has its set backs I know this sucks but be positive . you will pass the next one, just assess yourself to find out your areas of strengths and weaknesses and pay more attention in the areas you are lacking. Be confident you went through school for 4 years and you have the background knowledge, as my preceptor told me " you know more than you think you do :)" Good luck

For sure they could, during my placements I have seen many of them on medsurg units and the only way you will tell they are RPNs is by checking their name tag because they honestly are just as good as RNs in my opinion.

I'm a new grad RN and also a single mother to a 4.5 years old, I've always wanted to do rural nursing but was wondering if it's doable with a child? I have the option of leaving my child with my mom but won't mind bring her with me if it's doable. Any inputs will really be appreciated. Thanks

Hey, I just called CNO and their recorded message states the results were mailed out today , and should be in by July 18 ,sounds long but it's next week :).I guess that answers the question , no need speaking with a life rep because they will pretty much say same thing. Good luck , the wait is killing us all .

Your questions is rather judgemental and insensitive, there are many reasons why people could fail 3x .

I've been lurking this post and really appalled at how judgemental some people could be!!!Hope you all never fine yourselves in suck a situation !!
