i will retake my nclex on june 27 and i really need to pass this exam. good luck to all !!!:typing

Hi! Yes God is good and He ordered our steps and walked up the nursing school so He WILL get us through the NCLEX! I do know He expects us to do our part (as I know you understand too)! So I'd like to comment on the math and on the meds - the math I believe will for the most part be basic I&O and IV drip formulas etc - not too horrid really and probably not ALOT of these. Meds -NCLEX "should" really focus on the common meds that we do know something about AND on meds that could kill someone in quick order if administered improperly - i.e. Heparin. I think it's important to study Adult Med Surg MORE than anything. Peds and OB - a few things on there that would be life threatening especially but not alot - these are just my opinions for what they're worth AND in spending many hours reading different threads and posts in the last few months on this AWESOME forum. Safety, infection control and NOT killing our patient - that is my focus in studying.

I bought a book by Marlene Hurst for NCLEX RN and I really like it. I already have Saunders, Kaplan, Lippincott books and this new book is by FAR my favorite. A gal told me she read it beginning to end and passed in 75 questions -cool right? I am still considering purchasing the Kaplan test bank questions but WOW pricey! WHY in the world don't they allow us say 3 wks of accessing it for a discounted price - GREED that's why! sorry...

Good LUCK to all (living under Christ's keeping - my favorite acronym)! :redbeathe

Thank you so much for the insight. I will taking my NCLEX-PN tomorrow arrgh kinda nervous and scared but I need to go to rest now exam is at 8am

I took my exam this morning. I had 77 questions with several SATA and a few put in order, no med admin; lots of prioritzation and infection control. Not sure how I did. I don't feel completely horrible but who knows I may have failed. I'm trying to think positive though. I'm waiting for my status to show delivered on the pearsonvue site so I can somewhat know if I did ok or not. I feel so nervous but at least the test is over not the waiting has begun :)

try the pearson vue trick. it really helps with the waiting until you have your results. I think someone put a link a few pages back on how to access the directions on how to do it. good luck :wink2:

I did the trick and I received the pop up and didn't/couldn't go on to the credit card screen. I'm hoping this really does mean I passed!

Finally got my results and I PASSED!!!!!I had been checking for the results all day and when it finally said Quick Results Available, I felt like my heart stopped and it took me 10 minutes of staring at the screen before I opened the page and found out. I am so happy!!!

Good luck to all of you waiting to take the exam or waiting for results.

I just came home from the test...ugh. I felt like I got 75 of the hardest questions ever! It was mostly med/surg with some psych, a few OB and maybe 3 peds questions. I got less than 10 pharmacology questions and about 8 SATA and I didn't get a single calculations questions. Most of the questions were prioritization and how should the nurse intervene type questions and I got some infection control questions too. I didn't get anything on delegation. Oh well I'm going to try the pearsonvue trick and see if it works tomorrow. I'm just glad it's all over and I hope I passed because I wouldn't know where to start if I didn't make it

I passed on my 8th time...whatever you do don't give up!!!! I give all my praise to the lord for pulling me through this...without him i could not have done it!!! Never give up!!!!

Well congratulations to you. Just wanted to know what if anything that u did differently that u think helped u this time around.

Congrats again

I just found out that I passed!

Praise and thanks to the Lord! I would not have made it through without Him...

Again, I wish all of you the best of luck. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know it's hard: waiting to take the test, then taking the test...then waiting again for the results! People before us have done it, we can do it.

For future test takers: I think for me (and a few of my classmates), Kaplan helped A LOT. Their questions were very similar to NCLEX and I felt more comfortable going into NCLEX. I like how Kaplan's questions are all online, so even just practicing doing questions over the computer was helpful. In all honestly, Kaplan questions were definitely harder than NCLEX....which freaked me out during the actual test; I was afraid I wasn't getting the "harder" questions...it just seemed too good to be true!

Mine is June 20th! tomorrow and have a diarrhea!
