July NCLEX Takers come on in!

Hello everyone,

I'm planning to take my test in July and I am doing Suzanne first plan. Is anyone out there thinking taking their test in July please come and help and share ideas..

LOL I hope so.. the more I'm reading posts on here tonight the more I'm starting to second guess it haha. That's how it was in school too.. thought I did good on a test until i got in the hallway and everyone else came out telling what they put down and why they put it blahblah :)

Let us know what happens... Do you live in one of those states you can check the results in 2 days? I heard sometimes the results are up the same day or the next day... Here in NY you can usually find out within a few hours of taking the test. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!! (But it sounds like you wouldn't have gotten those hard upper level questions if you weren't at passing level) :)

So what's considered upper level?? I'm still a little confused on that. :)

Our state boards has a way to check exam results through Nursys... They JUST started doing that here recently. I don't know how long it takes since it's so new. I may call them tomorrow (i know i'm not supposed to) just to find out if the holidays are going to delay results so I'm not at the pc checking all weekend lol. We pay $ 5.50 if there's a result... if it's not up then it just says so and we don't pay anything. Thanks again!

I will be sending good wishes your way chosenchocolate!! It always makes me feel better to hear sucess stories and I am sure you will be one! When I scheduled my date for July 10th it was a month away and that seemed like forever.....Now I wonder if I have enough time:no: To make my stress level even greater I had Jury duty today and was chosen for the Jury and the trial is supposed to last at least 3 more days!! When it ends I will have less than a week to finish my stuying. Oh well, I keep telling myself....I KNOW THIS STUFF...I CAN DO THIS! Hope to hear good news about your results soon!

be encouraged!!!

thank god i passed on first try. he has answered my prayer.

i found out today around 9 a.m. i am now officially chosenchocolate rn!

i passed with about 5 drug calculations which 4 i had not a clue of where to start on getting the correct answer.

they say hind sight is 20/20. as i look back i was tempted to buy everything that offered a pass nclex score, now i feel that was to gain false reassurance. i am sooo glad i didn't!

those of you who feel u just have to pay $400 for kaplan-- okay, but to those of you who just want to pass nclex there's no need to do so.

i know u can take one thorough study guide know it in it's entirety or be able to answer questions and know reasoning for answers. i used saunders latest edition. (thx to all nurses.com for giving me idea on best book to use.):tku: this may take some time but it will be time well spent.

no matter how many questions u do there's a slim chance you will see any of same questions on test. understand the rationale of the anwer. during my exam i recognized most of the topics but answer choice i was expecting not there.:confused:

be encouraged stick to study plan and get nclex done!

CONGRATULATIONS CHOSENCHOCOLATERN!!! I test July 29 and I'm using Saunders and Kaplan to do questions. Sometimes I get discouraged but I know that I just need to follow Saunders Strategies to sucess and I will pass! Control, structured study plan and a positive attitude. God bless you.

I just got my ATT and will be taking NCLEX on July 31st!!! Of course the closest center with actual appointment times somewhere in the range that I wanted to take them has to be 130 miles away...

Way to go Chosenchocolate!!! Congratulations on your accomplishment!! You are an RN...Hooray!:yeah:And yes, I am encouraged. I have been studying since December with Saunders latest edition. It feels good to me to hear of everyone who is passing. Let the celebration begin!!:redbeathe:chuckle One week from today is my exam..I cannot wait!

Hey everyone!

I'm taking my on july 11th!!! Only 8 days left & i have to work 3 12s in those 8 days!! I'm considering asking my manager if i can just work 2 instead of 3. Gosh, i'm sooo nervous!!! So far, I've only completed 55% of the qbank. Up until last weekend my scores were in the 50s. Then, I got a few 66% & some others in the 60s. I don't know. I'm sick of everyone telling me I'll pass & not to worry!

Crazylilkelly, It is very hard when you already work in a hospital. I have worked in the same hospital for 10 years. 9 years as a CNA and the last year as an LPN while I completed my RN. Everyone tells me not to worry because I will pass the NCLEX easily. I know that is not really true. Sometimes working the in the field can get in the way of the right answer on the NCLEX. I think it puts a lot more pressure on me to pass! I have waited so long to get to this point (years) I am very afraid I will fail. Oh well, we will just have to take a big breath and have faith in the fact that we know what we need to know. I test on the 10th and will work 2-12's and I have a Baby Bear Hugs class. Also just finished 2 days of Jury Duty that couldn't have come at a worse time. :no:

wow, that stinks that you had the jury duty among everything else!! Good luck to you (&everyone else)!.
