Hi,
I'm new at this posting thing but it seems really helpful to talk to other people going through the same process of finding good schools and applying for the highly competitive programs. I figured i would try and start a new thread for anyone who is applying for the program that start at JU in May of 2011! :) Best of luck to everyone
Thanks Peca2234 & Ly55flipz, that bit of information does help. I'm just trying to prepare myself overall, in the hopes of becoming accepted. I even went as far as posting a question about if the energy wrist bands truly work, so I can make a purchase. I want to make sure I have enough energy to do well and be ready each day :). March is getting closer.
Hey everyone, I am in the same boat. It would be great to know an exact schedule. I had a job interview for a new job today and they asked what my new school schedule would be if I were to get into the program but I didn't know.
Thanks Ly55flipz, that was helpful! Just wish we knew what times to.
March is so close yet it seems like it is taking a year to get here!
Hi everyone, I just have a quick question about JU. Im considering entering into their nursing program, but it seems quite expensive. Are there scholarships that the school offers to students to help get them through the 5 semesters of the program? It would be sad to get started and not be able to finish or to have a loans that are sky high once after graduation. If I did my calculations right it's 13,300 per semester, multiplied by 5 semesters comes out to be about 66,500 or so. Plus the health insurance $570 that's mandatory each year adds up as well. I really want this school, but just figuring out if I can truly afford it.
Yes. JU does provide scholarships! They give out an academic scholarship to everyone that is based on your GPA. They told me mine was around $7K..doesn't sound like much compared to the totol tuition (tehe) However, it is better than nothing! There is also a link on nursing school website that says scholarships. There are several on there you can apply for.
Good luck :)

Does anyone have some insight on how the program goes at JU as far as the schedule? I have read other post from different schools and they pretty much have an idea that on Mondays it's "test days" for them, clinicals are in the middle of the week and the "night & weekend students" work theirs a little bit differently. Does JU even have night & weekend section to offer their students like FSCJ does? I'm just a bit curious, I like to have an idea of what may take place :) .
