Does anyone happen to know when they start doing interviews and also when we'll start receiving acceptance or rejection notifications?
Hi everyone!
I'm new to this thread...
Can anybody give me info on where they are staying, what neighborhood to look into..? I heard the area around the campus may not be the best place to rent so I am searching places that are 10 mins away from school...
Anybody thats not living on campus have any insight? Or people from the area.. I don't know much at all in Jacksonville.... I'm from Miami.
I'm a little stressed out because I have only a few days!!
thanks and congrats to all
:)

I don't have much insight about the area around campus because I live on the Westside of Jacksonville which is about 30-40 mins away. I hope someone chimes in with some information that will help you.
Congrats on starting the program.
Thank you I'm suuuuper excited but a little stressed thats all....congrats to u too! Can you tell me which books we need to purchase ? - I haven't received my packet by mail yet....
What packet haven't you received yet and what program are you starting? (Transfer, Second Degree, etc...)
The books for the first 6 weeks of summer can be found here: http://www.bkstr.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CourseMaterialsResultsView?catalogId=10001&categoryId=9604&storeId=10760&langId=-1&programId=927&termId=100015168&divisionDisplayName=1st%20-%206%20week%20courses&departmentDisplayName=NUR&courseDisplayName=222§ionDisplayName=SUM01&demoKey=d&purpose=browse
Feel free to ask further questions.
Hey!
Congrats on getting accepted into the program. As far as living goes, I live on the Southside. Its about 10 to 15 mins away depending on traffic. Its definately not a bad drive and its really nice over here. If your interested in this part of town some of the roads you want to look for complexes on are Touchton Rd. and Gate Parkway. Its a pretty nice area, so its a little bit pricey but I like living over here. I was in the same boat as you when I moved to Jacksonville a couple of years ago for work. I had no idea where to even start. If you come accross a complex and have any questions, just let me know! Good luck and I can't wait to meet everyone at orientation!
Thanks! for the books and living info.
I am starting the 2nd Degree Program this summer.
I spoke to someone from housing and they recommended apartments on Monument Rd. Thats where I am beginning to look... I will also check out the roads melissa800 mentioned. thx
got the link noxtel- thank u. As far as I can understand from reading- the books are only available on campus? So I guess I'll wait a little... I will be up there this weekend to look for places but I'm afraid the school is going to be closed for registration and bookstore...
Also! Maybe someone could clear this up for me.... It says "Orientation is May 6, 7, or 8"..... So can anyone tell me what day it is exactly?
I need all the info I can get because I'm starting everything a little late! thanks in advance!
