Hello,
I'm applying for the JJC nursing program this February and I'm wondering if anyone else is as stressed as I am? I didnt ask many questions at the meeting with my advisor (we basically went over prereqs, grades, and general program info) so does anyone know how the whole process works? I really need the night program and was told that I could potentially get bumped to the next semester if it fills up with applicants that received a higher TEAS score and higher GPA. I'd appreciate any info.
Thanks in advance,
*K*
So... anyone else have to now figure out how they will work to help support their family? I've worked the same job for 13 years and it's a mon-fri 8-4:30 so I'll obviously have to quit. I also have 2 children so, just thinking what type of job I should search for. Husband is very supportive but I think even a little help to him would take some of the stress off of him since we've always been a dual income household. Either way, we can and will figure it out! Super excited about this career change!
Hey BoyMom2x,
Once you get your CNA you should be able to find a job in a hospital part time. Some do 12 hour shifts, so only 2 days per week is part time. You could get some experience in a hospital setting and get your foot in the door. Or maybe a unit secretary position? Good luck in your search!

I thought I had replied to this already. I have a toddler at home and a supportive husband that already works ALOT. I work at a hospital, fulltime as a patient service rep. Going down to parttime is not an option for me/my family. I've made some arrangements with my boss/coworkers. I'll be working and going to school 7 days a week pretty much or taking PTO here and there. Hang in there! We go this!
Hey everyone! So once you recieve the email, it instructs us to sign up with Complio/American DataBank. I did this last evening, but have yet to receive an email back to verify my account. I know another student who is having the same issue and I emailed Paul Schroeder this morning. He stated that he is not aware that it takes a few days to recieve that confirmation. Is anyone else having this issue?

Congrats to everyone who made it into the program! If anyone on here didn't get accepted, I wish you the best of luck...keep holding on and never give up!
