  1. Hey! Did anyone get charged $45 instead of $25 for the additional background check?
  2. Haven't gotten my email yet either. Hopefully they'll send it today! Between work, school, and kids, I need as much time as possible to make my dr appointments and get these things completed!
  3. Hey BoyMom2x, Once you get your CNA you should be able to find a job in a hospital part time. Some do 12 hour shifts, so only 2 days per week is part time. You could get some experience in a hospital setting and get your foot in the door. Or maybe a unit secretary position? Good luck in your search!
  4. Congrats to everyone who made it into the program! If anyone on here didn't get accepted, I wish you the best of luck...keep holding on and never give up!
  5. We've made it to April! I tried calling on Friday between 1 and 3 and got the voicemail both times. I used the number listed for the secretary. Is there a specific number we should be calling? I'll try again on monday and let you all know what i hear! Anyway, I wish there weren't so many 'what ifs' to think about! Ttyl :)
  6. I think I'm more scared now that I know how many people qualified. 240!?!? That's crazy! But I guess it's to be expected! Mid-April?? I hope it's sooner than that! Hold on to hope!
  7. Thanks for letting us know about the qualification letters going out! I stopped checking my email a couple days prior...it was driving me crazy not getting anything! I would've never known it was there!
  8. Hey, I was told all of the emails will be to our JJC email account. From what I've heard, no one has gotten an email... yet! Best of luck to you! This wait is sooo ridiculous! í ½í¸£
  9. Hey debi8699, I'm right there with you...work & kids, (plus an unsupportive husband). Childcare will definitely be a concern for me! And yes, waiting for this admission email is incredibly nerve-wracking...I check my email multiple times per day! Thanks everyone for all the additional info--its nice to have some questions answered now instead of having to wait until orientation!
  10. So mine says "applicant nursing" under area as well. I wonder if its just the applications they've already reviewed or something?
  11. Thanks! I would love to just get my BSN right away, but the tuition is sooo much more at the 4 year universities in the area. I made an appointment at Chamberlain a while back and they told me it would be about $85.000 for 2.5 years! From the info i gathered, Lewis and St. Francis aren't too far behind that. That was when I decided on JJC's nursing program. I don't qualify for any financial aid. So if I can go to a school, pay much less tuition, and still get a quality education, I'm totally on-board! How about you? You have a great TEAS score & GPA as well!
  12. Hey lmyers0922! I decided to just retake the TEAS the other day and THANKFULLY scored an 81! (I scored a 73 on my first try). My prereqs are completed and my GPA is a 3.7-ish! Are you applying for the fall as well?
  13. I filled out the application on Thursday 2/1 as well! I put that I can do nights or days...but not sure which one would work best for my schedule with kids/work. But im glad to see theres 24 spots for nights. Does anyone know the times and days of the classes for the first semester of the program, whether it be nights or days? And what about clinical sites? I asked about those recently and wasnt given an exact answer. I was told that Silver Cross is one of them. I'm getting a little ahead of myself with these questions...hopefully we all get accepted and not have to stress about this again!
