Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing (MSN) Spring 2022

Published

Hi everyone!

I haven't seen a thread for it yet, so I'm starting one for the Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing program for Spring 2022. I started my application last week and hoping to finish it for the early deadline on July 1st.

Does anyone know when I'd hear back for the 10/1 deadline?

I went to the MSN chat yesterday and I believe they said in December

Hello guys! I rejected my admission so I hope it gives some hope to someone! Please be prepared for the tuition because not gonna lie, they are kinda sneaky on their website. Be weary that the tuition is about $250K for the whole program. That's not including boarding. So be prepared for that! GOOD LUCK Y'ALL!

Hey, can you give us the breakdown of how you concluded on this number? It seems like the cost is ~$20k per semester. There are 5 semesters. Meaning, it is around (slightly above) $100k.

I did my brief calculation and it's about 167k for the whole program+ room and board ($800 per month) excluding scholarships. I am not too sure if this is right.

Have you guys decided on housing yet? I heard that inner harbor is a better area compared to the area near JHUSON.  Anyone looking at apartments near inner harbor?

That’s without taking into account student fees, book fees, insurance and etc, of course, room and board not included as well.

How did you get to this number?

It’s stated on their website, 2021-2022 school year: $70,794 , which includes: tuition ($65080), health insurance ($4357), health fee ($849).  And then you still have to include fee for books, living expenses, etc.

so, 160k for the entire program is a fairly conservative number.

This is how I got that number ( again this was a brief calculation!)

72 units total for 5 semesters * 1790 for each credit = 128,880

Health insurance = 4357*2 = 8714

Health fee = 849*2= 1698

Room and Board = 800*24 = 19200

Books and supplies = 1500*2 = 3000

Personal Expenses = 3000*2 = 6000

Uniforms = 1000

* Total ~168 k  ( excluding scholarships)

It would be slightly cheaper because the most they charge you per semester is 12 credits. If you exceed this number of credits you are not charged any more for those.

Also, if you are still under your parents health insurance, can't you use that?

Oh yea sorry! I think I did it with board calculations too but I will say you guys are definitely paying for one of the most expensive schools in the states. I cant afford that? CONGRATS YALL!

Hey everyone! I was recently accepted into the program! I saw that there was a facebook link posted in the forum however I personally do not have a facebook.

And Congrats to all accepted and waitlisted ?
