Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing (MSN) Spring 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone!

I haven't seen a thread for it yet, so I'm starting one for the Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing program for Spring 2022. I started my application last week and hoping to finish it for the early deadline on July 1st.

I was accepted as well (off the waitlist). The cost of the program is too much and think I am going to go with my offer to Pace University. Not 100% sure though. Was anyone offered a scholarship or aid? I got 10k but I don't think it's enough. Good Luck to everyone else on the waitlist!

How much is the program before the 10k scholarship? I remeber is around $50k a year?

I won’t be accepting my offer, so hopefully a  spot opens up for someone ☺️

I got into Hopkins for Spring 2022. Extremely excited and grateful. I am in a predicament though. I am an active duty service member in the US Army and I was waitlisted in September and just got an email last week stating I got in. Didn't actually think I would get in. My issue is that leaving the active duty military is a process; I can't just get up and leave. Issue is I do not have enough time to out-process the Army, sell my home, find a place to live and move all my stuff to Baltimore. I would actually like to defer my acceptance to Fall 2022. Has anyone encountered this problem or have any advice? Thank you!!

Hi, I have no experience with this whatsoever but you may want to try posting in the older Hopkins MSN groups. They might be better able to assist.

I also have no experience regarding this situation but I would suggest reaching out to the School of Nursing Office of Admissions and filling them in on your situation. Hopefully they’ll be able to defer your acceptance to a later date considering your predicament. Good luck!

Hey guys, can someone please tell me when does our program finish?

if it starts in January 2022, Spring semester, do we finish when Fall 2023 semester ends?

I heard the graduation is in august, so…hence my question. ?

Thanks!

The program is 2.5 years. So in this case it would be August 2024.

Hi! Please correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that is incorrect. The program is 5 semesters and we begin in January (Spring semester) so that would be Spring semester 2022, Summer semester 2022, fall semester 2022, Spring semester 2023, and finally Summer semester 2023. So it's only 1.5 years and we would be done around the end of August 2023 and before the Fall 2023 semester.

You may be right and I am thinking of a different program, but for some reason I have the 2.5 years in my head. It could have been UPenn that has that since they do a joint webinar with Columbia and Johns Hopkins.
