Hi Everyone,
I wanted to start a thread for the Johns Hopkins Entry into Nursing MSN program for August 2021 applicants. I started my application this week, aiming to get it in well before the November 1st deadline . Anyone else??

Good luck everyone!
Hello, same! I got waitlisted as well and I am now more confused LOL. Is there a good chance of getting off of the waitlist?
I just found out I was waitlisted! It's not a no... ??
@nutritionandnursing There is a facebook page for JHUSON MSN program for all cohorts and you can ask those questions on there and get some pretty helpful info. I've been out there and it all depends on where you want to live, but I think it would be helpful, especially with clinical assignments. I'm a Californian too, whereabouts are you from?

1. Do we need a car? I'm coming from California so I'm wondering if its worth it figure out how to get my car to MD.
2. When exactly does the program start? (LOL I feel like I should know this)
3. How soon in advance is it recommend to find housing? Where I went to college people secured houses as early as January for the fall so wondering if I need to jump on that soon
There's a wonderful facebook page where you can ask present and past students questions like these... If you have facebook and or are interested, I'll be glad to share the link.
I'm a 5th semester student currently, and, although some people did not have vehicles and relied on getting rides from fellow students or ubering, most of us had cars... Sometimes you may have clinicals far away (20min,40min-1hour drive) depending where you live. Not all clinicals are at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, some are in affiliated hospitals... So, no you don't need a car in that sense, but it may be tricky if you don't have someone to share rides...

Exactly what Clo said! That webpage has been helpful for me prior to and during my journey at Hopkins. A must have resource!
