Hi Everyone,
I wanted to start a thread for the Johns Hopkins entry into nursing MSN program for January 2021 applicants. I just started my application this week, aiming to get it in well before the July 1st deadline. Anyone else?? ?
Also, if anyone previously accepted here has any application tips, please do share. Thank you!

I am from Hawaii and I was curious, upon graduation for this program if there is a time frame that graduates need to commit working as a RN in the state of Baltimore? Or are we allowed to work in other states for instance in CA as a RN? Just out of curiosity.
Hi! I believe how it works is that you take your NCLEX in the state you want to work in to qualify but I'm not sure if there's a minimum amount of time you need to stay in that state before you transfer- most people usually leave after 1-2 years if they want to go to another state.

Congratulations!! Maryland has a multi state lincensure and is considered to be a compact state. Which means
Multi-State Licensure, hereafter referred to as MSL, will allow a nurse licensed in a compact state to practice across state lines in another compact state without having to obtain a license in the other state. A compact state is a state that has passed the interstate compact.

Thank you! ?
Has anyone decided whether they are going to live around the school or not? I’m concerned about safety.
hi!
I applied almost 2 months ago, and I still haven't heard anything at all. Not even an email or an update. Is anyone also waiting for any updates? I heard some has already received admissions decisions and I'm getting worried. Nursingcas has verified my application, but absolute silence from JHU.

I also applied about 2 months ago and haven’t heard anything back either. When I spoke with admissions last week, they said it shouldn’t be too much longer. Hopefully we hear back this week or next.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. Hopefully soon!
