Johns Hopkins 2015 ABSN & Masters Entry

Published

This thread is for applicants applying to Johns Hopkins, for either the ABSN or the new Master's Entry program. I've searched a few times and haven't found a thread for this year's admissions cycle, so I decided to start one.

After lots of thinking, I decided to apply to the Master's Entry instead of the ABSN. Anyone else out there applying?

I got my acceptance letter for the Dorect entry MSN program yesterday! Good luck to everyone who hasn't found out yet.

Im going to be going to UCSF, so I've declined and hope that means that someone else will get my spot soon!

I already had an ISIS account from fall semester Biostatistics. I have two records now- one for MSN and one for special undergrad. It could mean something or it could just be a placeholder.. Fingers crossed!

Did you get an email or an actual letter?

This is what the admissions person told me.

Thank you for your email. The decision letters go out in batches.

The first group was sent yesterday. So you should be getting your letter in the next week or two.

@arisulin did you take a class at jhu before? Or did you use your app log in id to look at the Isis account?

dcpaskie, I also have an MSN option in the drop-down on ISIS, but nothing in program of study.

snailszy, thanks for checking. A friend of mine got her acceptance and it seems like only a few people in the forum have heard, so I know I shouldn't worry prematurely, but it still feels ominous.

snailszy, I can't PM back (only 12, well 13 now, posts) but I have a login to the portal for the whole university system because I took an online prereq at the SON.
snailszy I have also taken pre-reqs at JHU before

I called to ask about the ISIS status. The admissions rep said that the my do that so you can apply for financial aid-- since the deadline is Sunday. It doesn't necessarily mean we are accepted. I got the same answer about them not having made some final decisions yet... So.. Keep hope alive!

Just to clarify, by financial aid, they mean just the fafsa? I see the graduate student aid form on their website. Do we fill that out as well? Financial Aid | Apply | Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing

For those who have been accepted, what program did you apply for? I applied to the CNS online program, but have not heard anything yet.
