Hello everyone,
I am applying to JHU's Accelerated BSN program. I am wondering if anyone can offer any insight into how competitive the admissions process is, what GRE scores are considered good, etc.
Also, if anyone is/was enrolled in the program, any insider information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Stacy
Are there other people still waiting? No letter, no phone call - this is so frustrating!!! Is not getting a letter by now a good sign or not necessarily? I need to send a deposit to another ABSN program I've been accepted to on the 16th. Should I give them a call tomorrow?
I feel your frustration, LML10. I haven't heard anything either. I say give them a call tomorrow-- probably around 4:00 EST. Good luck to us!
LML10 I'm hoping not hearing anything yet is a good thing but I would still call tomorrow if you don't get anything in the mail. I'd say wait until 4pm ET but you really might as well do it ASAP. The decision has been made and your call won't bug them into changing, especially if you explain your deadline. I'm still in the no letter/no call boat but I've reached a zen like state.
Sorry to hear about your roommate sugarlips, that really is a bummer (you're in LA right? is she (or he) applying to UCLA?) I don't think you're going to hear anything until next month since you're RD, another bummer but to a lesser scale. Good luck to you.
My roommate (ED - BSN) received the dreaded letter today. I (RD - ABSN) didn't get anything. Good? Bad? Who knows?
If you're RD, you won't hear back til around the middle of Jan, Feb or early march.
Certainly not to rub salt in any wounds, how did they phrase things in "the dreaded letter"?
I just fell into my temptation to call and this is what she said. They are obligated to tell those accepted today by 5:00 EST. I asked if rejection letters could be received after today and she said yes bc all they are obligated to do is to tell those who have been accepted by todays deadline. So those who are in the same boat as me....no letter, no call.....I don't know...try to stay positive. There is still alot of time between now and 5!!
I wish I could quote the letter for you, but she ripped it up before I could see it. :*(. However, she said it sounded very elitist and didn't explain why she wasn't picked.
Regarding the 15th deadline, that's for the ED only...just confirming. I thought I had heard from some RD peeps that they have been notified they were in. I really thought all along that I wouldn't hear anything until later.
As far as Cali schools, I applied to a few (UCLA, CSUN, and MSMC and pending SFSU).
