Hi! Creating this thread for all those who plan on applying for the JTCC Fall 2018 RN session. (Hybrid or traditional)
Anybody who has previously applied to the JTCC program please feel free to join the discussion and tell us, applicants, how the application process went as well as how the nursing program went or is going!!
Best of luck to everyone who applies!!
I didn't do as well on the TEAS as I'd hoped, I didn't even touch the grammar section when I studied, but I got an 86% overall. I used a FB group for the exam. I also used the free books from various libraries and Crash Course and Khan Academy on YouTube. Basically if it was free I used it.
I took my essay to the tutoring center at the college and had them look over it before I submitted it. They are really helpful. I would go there if you're having any trouble in any subject.
I got accepted in to the Hybrid section of the programme.

Hi there! I wanted to chime in and say that I LOVED my first semester at JTCC. It was definitely challenging and I worked my butt off to do well. I was really sad to have to leave (we moved to NY) and I miss my classmates dearly. You will love it :) DO THE HOMEWORK. Read (or at least skim) the chapters they assign, even if it seems like way too much to handle. Don't get behind. Figure out how you study best and join study groups if that helps you. Rely on your peers during clinicals, you're bound to have some in your clinical section that have prior patient experience and can help you out.
You get to start in the shiny new Chester building too! Enjoy it.

Makes sense but I was so excited to just be in and now I'm worried again.. I have an A and a high B in my classes but still. I just want to be in and get started.
Would anyone be interested in maybe meeting for coffee after the orientation? I want to know a few people when classes start in the fall ?
Hi I know this is a couple of years later not sure if you are still active but Im getting ready to apply for the Spring semester and just wondering if it all worked out with your grades??

Hey all,
I am about to apply to the JTCC traditional track for Spring 2019 with an overall teas score of 82%.
What do you think my chances of being accepted are?
I emailed the head of nursing and she said my score was "competitive."
