I was hoping someone would start a thread like this. I'm terrible at doing stuff like that myself. I hope to get in this fall. I'm taking the TEAS test at the end of this month and I'm studying a lot. I'm also currently taking classes for transfer to JMU. So really busy. I'm so nervous. I've wanted to be a nurse for years, but kept letting myself get the best of myself.
Good Luck! I took the TEAS twice, the first time I took it without studying (I don't recommend this) and did really well in every section except for Science. I waited a few months, studied my butt off and did great the second time around. The science is all A&P and some Chemistry. I got the ATI TEAS Secrets Study Guide from Amazon, and it helped me a lot.
It's math that's getting me. I have such a hard time with remembering what everything is. I'm good at reading and grammar, but that math. And I know I have to get it for nursing school. I feel like I have no time to do that. But I'll get it somehow.

I just took my TEAS and got an 82% but 91% on the national average. I'm so worried that my score isn't going to be good enough.
That's great. I would think you would be ok with scores like that.

I'm new to this site. I've scheduled to take the TEAS test towards the end of this month. I'm studying as much as I possibly can. I wish you all the very best, and I plan to share my applying experience with you all, in hopes that it will motivate someone.
kem13....After reviewing past threads, I think that you'll be just fine. Best of wishes!
I take my TEAS test tomorrow and I hope I do well. I'm doing last minute studying tonight after my kids go to bed. Which track are you applying for? I'm hoping to do the hybrid track.
I know what it's like to have kids, while trying to be dedicated to studying as well. I hope that you did great on your test! Would you like to share how it was? I prefer the traditional track, as i feel that I do better in a class setting.
It wasn't as bad as I though it would be. I did well overall, though I'll admit that I should have studied more for the grammar, as I didn't do as well in that as I could have. A lot of stuff I haven't seen since about 4th grade or so. But I passed enough in that to be satisfied.
If you haven't taken it already I would make sure to get a couple of study books and join a study group on FB. That was really helpful for the math part and the anatomy. The parts of anatomy I didn't know we haven't gone over in class yet and I was still really shaky on even with the book. And luckily I didn't get a lot of geometry because I would've sucked on that. I hate geometry.
But if you slow down and take your time it's very doable. You get two breaks and I only used one.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm anxious to take it. I've been studying for many weeks now, so hopefully it pays off. The toughest part for me is trying to remember everything from the science portion. I'll keep you posted on how I do, and hopefully we'll get to meet at orientation! At least you got that part over with, and can now relax until they send out the results.
