John Tyler Community College RN Fall 2018

Published

Hi! Creating this thread for all those who plan on applying for the JTCC Fall 2018 RN session. (Hybrid or traditional)

Anybody who has previously applied to the JTCC program please feel free to join the discussion and tell us, applicants, how the application process went as well as how the nursing program went or is going!!

Best of luck to everyone who applies!!

You get the results immediately. I got an 86% personal. I hope it's good enough. It's 45% to qualify and they rank by the personal I think.

86% should be fine. Just make sure to pay attention to how you did individually in sections as well. I'm so ready to get mines over with!

When do you take yours? I'm sure you'll do fine. I just had to remember to relax.

I take mines this coming Saturday.

Good luck. I have midterm exams this Saturday. I'm sure both of our brains will be fried. lol

Good luck on your exam!

Finally got around to taking the TEAS. Adjusted score of 88% which put me overall in the 97th percentile

Rocked the science and math (both at 99th percentile) and BOMBED English somehow haha

Got a 3.5+ gpa for pre-reqs but a fairly low cumulative (low 2s) so we will see how this goes

In the information session it says they rank people by TEAS scores, so hopefully that works in my favor despite a less than favorable cumulative gpa.

I have no idea what my cumulative GPA is. When I went before it was low, but with the pre-req GPA it should've raised it. I got a 4.0 for the pre-reqs so I hope that'll help me out. Plus the essay. I hope to put my application in tonight, but we'll see how it goes in my house.

Hi guys! I submitted my application last night... does anyone know when we should start hearing results? I'm so nervous.

From what I've gathered about 6-8 weeks or so. The application period doesn't end until the 10th so I would assume the clock starts from there.

And now the waiting game begins. Haven't seen as much activity in this thread as I have in previous semesters on this forum

Hopefully that means this cycle isnt as competitive ;)

Maybe. lol

I do know in my first A&P class almost all of the people in it were applying to the nursing track, but the more classes I take, it seems like it's fewer people. Though I'll admit I'm taking fewer science classes this semester.

Anyone in the pre-BSN track?
