Private duty home care would work if you're not too close to your due date. I know some families don't want a nurse home alone with their child if that nurse might go into labor any minute.

Did they actually admit they wouldn't hire you because you are pregnant?! That's illegal. They should be reported to the EEOC.

What kind of work do you have experience in?
When places hire per diem staff, it is usually nurses experienced in that particular type of nursing, so the per diem nurse can be put to work with only a couple shifts of orientation.
There are not many jobs of nursing that are not stressful.

Unless they came out and SAID "we'd hire you, except you're pregnant", what you're saying is quite unfair. And since it's incredibly illegal for an employer to do this, I doubt that your being pregnant is the out and out reason that they are not willing to hire you.
Yeah, I would like to know if the hiring person actually gave the OP's pregnancy as the reason for not hiring her. Most hiring managers are savvy enough to know that is illegal, and even if that is actually the reason, they would never actually admit that to the applicant.
Thank you all my friends, I have been working in Onco for 3 years @ office setting, but I want to leave.
Regarding few places I went, they politely say we need permanent , not looking for per diem position.

Well then, maybe the reason you didn't get the job is because you don't want permanent work. ??
Soooooo, that's very different than what you originally said!!!!

Needing full-time staff over per-diem sounds like a very reasonable stipulation. I think it was misleading to state so unequivocally that you were declined due to pregnancy.
For those that know, how easy does an inpatient onco unit accommodate a new preggo per-diem staffer that would need orientation? I don't see that this is the time to strike out into a new practice area, particularly if you don't plan to work for a while after bringing your little one home.
