When do the openings for the next year start being listed? Are they usually singly on each separate school district's website, or is there a "clearinghouse" site for them? Teaching openings have started showing up for next year... Thanks!

A lot of school districts in the US use schoolspring.com to list their postings. I have seen postings up as early as January for the following school year. Schoolspring is for all school jobs, so specify your search for school nurse using the selection criteria on the left side of the page.

Here in Texas where I work, the jobs are posted on the school website beginning in March or April. This is usually around the time when contracts are going out and staff is making their intentions known for the following school year. Of course, you'll always have those that don't give notice until the last minute for various reasons.

I look at Indeed and also search the district websites for the ones I would be interested in. Just this week, I started to see some posted.

My district posts the jobs on the district website, starting in March. Our district has a job fair this weekend, but contracts haven't come out yet. I suspect more jobs to start popping up in the next few weeks, but the nurse positions are generally offered to the existing nurses before they are made public.
You guys are an awesome bunch, thanks!
