Job Interview tomorrow...HELP!

Ive worked only one job since I graduated 4 years ago. Im scared of changing jobs. Ive only been on ONE interview that I lucked out on because the DON and I realized we were related halfway thru the interview! So our conversation and interview was at ease and comfortable. However tomorrow will be an official interview for another job. Im so nervous and scared. I dont know what to wear and I dont know what to SAY. I hate this. I am the type of person who always feels inferior and unworthy of anything (childhood incidents made me this way). I cant change that, Im working on it. I dread tomorrow and Im scared that if I "sell myself" tomorrow and get the job I will later let them down if I am unable to do it. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Just a couple of suggestions:

1. http://jobsearch.about.com/od/interviewquestionsanswers/a/interviewquest.htm

2. It is almost impossible to overdress for a job interview BUT be comfortable.

3. Know something about the company you are applying with and be able to ask pertinent relevant questions about the organization, NOT about your jobs benefits.

Good luck! You obviously have a lot going for you or you wouldn't be asked for the interview. Remember THAT!

PS - About the "sell yourself but let them down later" thing, that is a common fear and worry. It's often called "the impostor phenomenon" and is relatively common around the 90 day mark of starting a new job. We all go through it. Just be honest during the interview.

Take names and get the correct company address and send each interviewer a handwritten thank you note after your interview. I'm proof that it works. :)

Here's a link with some good information about how to write it: http://www.ehow.com/how_2166886_effective-thank-note-job-interview.html

"What are your strengths and weaknesses?" is a common question I've been asked over the years. Make a list of 5 of your strengths and 5 of your weaknesses. Know them inside and out---but be prepared to verbally explain how each "weakness" can be also a strength...i.e., perfectionism can be seen by some to be a set up for failure but as a STRENGTH, perfectionism shows compassion, devotion, and pride in performing the job in the best way possible.

Think also of the possible question:"What makes YOU the best candidate for this job?" I also have the feelings of inferiority and low self-esteem; interviews have been difficult for me. HOWEVER, you really must sell yourself if you truly are interested in the position. Foremost, remember that this is a EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION REGARDING THE JOB so be prepared to ask a # of questions yourself. Best of luck to you!

Just be yourself and sell your best attributes and skills , and always they understand why you are nervous they I am sure have been in the "hot seat' before themselves. GOOD LUCK!!!!! YES and ask questions not only are you being interviewed but you are interviewing them getting a feel for the company !!!!!
