JJC Spring 2016

Published

Hi all,

Im just wondering if there are any others here that are planning on applying to Joliet Junior College in Illinois for the Spring 2016 start date?

I called. I was told Friday Oct 16th we will receive emails.

Hello Everyone,

I, too, am waiting to get my email. This is my first time applying and I'm a little bit nervous. Well, at this point, more anxious. I just want to know!

Unfortunately, I didn't do that great on the TEAS test. The English, writing, and comprehension scores were great; but the math and science scores...not so much. Weird, but I've been in the medical field for about 14 years now and never once did photosynthesis come up, Never! Ha

I wish everyone much luck!

Hi melinda:) did u also get the chance to ask how many of us were qualified? Or what the average teas scores was?

Im pretty sure a lot of people did not do as good as they wanted too in the teas. It was very hard. I talked to a lot of people on the day i did my essay and they all said they did pretty bad on the teas i know atleast 5 people who got 62 or lower that applied for this coming semester also. Hopefully we all hear good news tmrw or whenever:). I have been loterally checking my email ever since after i wrote my essay.

I spoke with the nursing department:

About 24 people got above 80 on the TEAS; only 23 people accepted. There are roughly 70 something seats open.

About 180 people had to take the written. Of that, 20% of people didn't take the written, so that knocks their scores down.

The rest have a 50/50 chance.

Not that much help, but this does give a better picture of where we might stand. I was told that the email will probably go out at the close of the school day on Friday.

Good luck!

That is very helpful information! Thank you! It's going to feel like forever until Friday. I'm hoping for the best for all of us! Good luck ....

Yes, good luck everyone!! Hope we all get in! Friday cannot get here any faster.

72 or 74 for days and 24 for evenings. I asked about the average TEAS score but the one lady did not know. Once she transfered me I forgot to ask once I heard the email was coming this Fri. I will call back.

Thank you for sharing. I've applied a few times. It's my fault for not taking the TEAS test as seriously as I should have. I didn't study to my full potential. That test is hard and tricky. But if you use the study guides and get your mindset like the creators of the TEAS test then you will do fine. I hope we all get in!

Keep us updated if ubever decide to call back tomorrow if she answers anything about the average teas score ? I still feel a little iffy about my chances not knowing the average teas. We have one more day til we get the news and its killing me evry single dayí ½í¸ªí ½í¸ª. Thank you for answering my questions hopefully we all have a good chance to take one of those 72 seats still opení ½í¸‡í ½í¸‡í ½í¸‡
