JJC Fall 2016

Anyone applying to the Fall 2016 nursing program at Joliet Junior College? If so, have you taken the TEAs yet? I've taken all my pre-reqs with the exception of A&P II which I'm hoping to take in the summer.

I've taken mine once so far, and I'll admit that I didn't review any material. I surprisingly did really well on the math portion. I need to brush up on science of all things. I got a 75.3, and I'll probably retake it again at the end of January. I have my advisor meeting set up for 1/12. I'm so nervous!

Did you talk to a nursing advisor?

Just spoke to the nursing admissions office to make sure they had all my transcripts. I forgot to send in my high school transcripts so I was double checking. At the end she congratulated me on getting into the program so I guess I am in. Pretty happy. Hope everyone on here gets in, would be nice to connect with some fellow students.

Congratulations!! I am still waiting on the email...have you gotten one yet? I *should* be guaranteed admission based on my TEAS score, but it would be nice to have something in writing. Has anyone on here gotten an email yet?

I did not get guaranteed admission from TEAS but I am waiting on any kind of email! I'm hoping soon I get one about the essay. I've been looking at last years thread on here and comparing days haha. Congrats you guys on getting in already!!

I'm not holding my breath on getting in (71 on TEAS after not taking a class for a few years) but am going to try and write a great essay, just in case. I am confident I'll do much better on the TEAS in June, now that I have been able to study for more than 2 weeks! Congrats to those already in. How exciting. Anyone every hear anything about this essay? I heard there were 250 applicants. Last semester 60 did not write the essay (may not be the case this time). They take 96 people. Those are great odds for you all who scored in the high 70's! Good luck everyone!

I have not heard how many applicants, just that directions for the essay were send out. I think you still have a good chance of getting in. Don't give up , you never know what will happen. Good luck to everyone taking the essay.
