Anyone applying to the Fall 2016 nursing program at Joliet Junior College? If so, have you taken the TEAs yet? I've taken all my pre-reqs with the exception of A&P II which I'm hoping to take in the summer.

I've taken mine once so far, and I'll admit that I didn't review any material. I surprisingly did really well on the math portion. I need to brush up on science of all things. I got a 75.3, and I'll probably retake it again at the end of January. I have my advisor meeting set up for 1/12. I'm so nervous!

I am applying for fall 2016 and just finished my TEAS today with a score of 78.7. I will be completing BIO 251 and nutrition in spring 2016. Will schedule for an appointment with an advisor and decide if I need to retake the TEAS.

Aaahhh I'm entering 2nd semester and have to take AP2 along with my nursing classes. I'm nervous about this, to say the least. Haha where there's a will there's a way! Def try to get those courses out of the way sooner than later. :)

I'm applying for the fall! I have already taken my TEAS and scored a 77 and am taking BIO 251 and HEAL 109. I know a few other people that will probably be applying for the fall also. I'm nervous for the essay since I did not get a 80 on the TEAS that bummed me out. I took it in January so I figured I would apply and just see if I get in with that instead of retaking it right away.

I only got a 77 on my Teas but I also have a 4.0 in all my classes. It couldn't hurt to just apply. The teas is not the only thing they rank you on. I got a 81 on my science portion as well. My adviser told me that its not always about the teas but when it comes down to a few who are on the edge they use that to make their decision. I hope this helps!

That's great with a 4.0 I'm sure you'll have no problem getting in! I'm curious how many people are applying for the fall.

I am applying. I have all the classes done, but have been out of school for 4 years! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. Last time I took the TEAS I got a 81, this time (with only 2 weeks of studying) I got a 71. I am not anticipating getting in, but am going to try anyways. I know now what I need to brush up on, so I should do well on the next attempt. Good luck everyone!

That's a good idea to just apply and see! I've known a girl who got a 70 on her TEAS and still had to take anatomy pt2 and she's in! I think it all depends on how money applicants there are!

I am sorry you had to go through that. Hope all is well. I just went to the advisor today. Since I got a 89 on my TEAS test I am guaranteed admission and will be starting in the fall. I transferred about half of my pre reqs from other colleges. I will be taking the anatomy classes this summer to get them out of the way.

I also spoke with an advisor today. She said 71 wasn't awful and I still have a chance at getting in because I have all my classes done and they are all A's. On to the essay. We'll see, I'm pretty confident with more than 2 weeks of studying I will do better on the TEAS next time, if i don't get in next semester, congratulations!!!

I applied as well and am anxious to get an email. I did well on the TEAS so I should be guaranteed admission, but a confirmation would be nice. I have done all my pre-req's except Micro. I will be taking it this summer.

Congrats! I'm sure you'll get your email when everyone else gets an email about the essay! And micro is fairly easy so it should be good to take over the summer
