Hi! First, congrats!!! You're in for quite an experience!!! I'm in the program now and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...almost. Anyway, the course load is pretty heavy. The first semester we had lecture 3x per week and clinicals 2. Second and third semester 2x's for lecture and 2 for clinicals...Fridays off. Let me know if you have any other questions.

do you think working is at all possible during first semester? do u do clinicals anywhere besides jfk? any other advice?

There are some people who have worked throughout the whole program and they are doing very well. Working is not encouraged but for some that's not an option. Most of the clinicals are at JFK but we also go to Robert Wood and Overlook. My advice would be to relax now because once January comes its pretty much nonstop until December. Keep up on your readings...once you fall behind its very very hard to catch up. The instructors are very helpful, go to them if you have any questions.

What kind of degree is awarded at the end of this program? Its difficult to read about the program online. A BSN or ASN degree?

I'm also enrolled in this program to start in January 2013, but what I want to know is if it's worth doing this program. How do recent grads do in terms of finding jobs?

Thanks.

Enilrek, the degree awarded is a diploma in nursing and an associates in science degree from UCC but you will still be able to sit for the nclex and obtain licensure.

@ roxjen I am also starting the accelerated program in January! Are you taking any classes in the fall?

i started this past january, so im currently finishing up my 2nd of 3 semesters. let me know if you have any questions

Hi guys! I really NEED your feedback for those in the accelerated program in Muhlenburg. I got accepted for the spring, but still haven't took chem105 and two extra psych classes. Do I have to take those this spring and then start clinicals next spring? I'm confused...how long would it take me to finish? Also is it true that you can take the Nclex afterwards? Is the program expensive, is it worth it? All details please, I really need help deciding if this is the worth it.
