$38-$41 per hour?!?!?!?! Is this just in NY?? because i just post a thread asking how much a nurse makes in Ontario and everyone is telling me under $22. they also said the most a nurse can make after nine years of work is $32... this one nurse in Manitoba has been working 4.5 yrs at $17 an hour!!!....what's the deal here? Canadian nurses are payed half what American's get?

I live in Orlando, Florida and I started out making $18.70 as a new RN. Now I am a pool nurse for the hospital and will be making $24.00-$25.00 when February 16 comes around because that will be my one year anniversary. Down South always offer cheaper wages. Plus we do not have union so we do not have much rights. I'm a former New Yorker who love to return back home. Do you know of relocation packages. :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am a new grad and myself and my classmates have been offered jobs at aprox. $27-32/hr in the central and north Jersey areas. The higher end of this range is working nights, which most of us are. Some smaller hospitals start at $24/hr Days for new grads, but it's definatly not hard to find a job making 29-30/hr. Good luck.
