I am so glad I was directed to this discussion forum. I believe it is a great place to share and learn. I am extremely interested in Jefferson's FACT program. I plan to apply for May 2012. I just wanted to reach out to anyone with similar interest and your thoughts on the process. I would like to know who else plans to apply for May 2012 and if your pre-req's have been completed.
Just to share a little about myself, I am completing my BS in Public Health at an online University (3 weeks left!) and have all the pre-req's completed. I am just excited about this next journey.
I also love how Jefferson FACT students automatically are accepted into the MSN program. My goal is to become a Women's Health NP, and Jefferson seems to be the way to go.
I would also love to hear from current students as well.

nishtari.....i did send my pre-req worksheet in. there is nothing i can think of that i would be missing, but it sounds like there are others who didn't receive this email despite having sent everything in. i am really curious though as to why some are receiving the email and others are not.
The email with the confidentiality agreement in the text and PDF attached came after I had submitted my 'secondary application.' I was told by admissions that first they review the applications (split into first round and second round determined by the date of application submission) and then decide who to invite to interview. I was specifically told that not everyone is invited to interview.
After the interview process, they will send out admissions letter, the first round of which should arrive before Jan 1, 2012.
I am sure they are completely overwhelmed with applications so I wouldn't worry if you can't get in touch with them or have yet to receive the email confirmation. Nursing CAS also takes awhile to release the information to Jefferson itself.
thanks for that info conlon7!!! it's good to know more about the process....it makes waiting just a little easier when you know what is going on. i received the "first round" email today as well so you are right, they are probably overwhelmed with all the applications and correspondences will probably come out staggered instead of all at one time. thanks again for the info. :)
I just got an e-mail from Jefferson regarding my application status. Does anyone know when second-round applicants get invited for an interview? Also, do most of the spots fill up after the first-cycle of applicants are accepted?
I submitted everything on time for the first round of review. I submitted the supplemental on Nov. 1st. but no email to confirm that my application is completed. This is so nerve-wrecking......
A classmate of mine in Micro got her application status letter on Tuesday (11/8/11). They must have sent it out as a mass e-mail, any people aren't receiving them at the exact same time (sometimes that happens with big e-mails). It could also be that they are verifying they have received all your application materials.
Has anyone submitted the pre-requisite worksheet, is that required? Because in the e-mail they sent, they didn't mention any materials were missing but the FACT website says we have to mail that pre-req sheet in.

The email did not have instuctions for us. It was just to let us know about the review period. Glad to hear that you guys are in the 1st round!
