Hello all!
I am so glad I was directed to this discussion forum. I believe it is a great place to share and learn. I am extremely interested in Jefferson's FACT program. I plan to apply for May 2012. I just wanted to reach out to anyone with similar interest and your thoughts on the process. I would like to know who else plans to apply for May 2012 and if your pre-req's have been completed.
Just to share a little about myself, I am completing my BS in Public Health at an online University (3 weeks left!) and have all the pre-req's completed. I am just excited about this next journey.
I also love how Jefferson FACT students automatically are accepted into the MSN program. My goal is to become a Women's Health NP, and Jefferson seems to be the way to go.
I would also love to hear from current students as well.
I got that email today also! I am very excited that this is happening, FINALLY! :) I am slightly concerned though, and anyone who can help me figure this out I would be much appreciative!
I am currently taking A&P1 and Chem2. I finished Chem 1 and plan on taking A&PII and Micro in January. Since I am going to be in the first round of reviews, since they have everything else I needed to submit, will the fact that I have 2 pending science classes to finish THIS semester have any effect on the admission review? Especially since I am also taking 2 more sciences this spring semester and finishing right before the program begins!(If I even get in, that is.) I am concerned I will be completely overlooked at 1st round reviews since I am still taking sciences. Any advice or suggestions on what to do??
Thank you for your help,
:)
hi everyone......this is my first time posting. i applied for the fact program mid-october. i am getting very nervous now because i have not received that email that confirms my first round review. i applied timely and submitted everything asked for. i completed the supplemental app the same day we all received it. i called the 215-503-8890 # this morning and was transferred into a voicemail which did not have an identifying outgoing message so i don't know who will receive it. also, they are so busy that ii don't know when i will get a call back. i am very excited, but also very nervous as to why i didn't get that email. would they send you an email if you were missing something from you application? does anyone know how to get a live person at jeff that can help me with the status of my application?
I did not receive the email either but i called this morning to find the status of my application and i was informed that i will be reviewed with the first round.
For the people who received an email, did the documents ask for some sort of response or was it information letting you know when your application will be reviewed?. Just want to make sure that i don't miss any important info
I called today even though I did not receive the e-mail and was told that I will be considered for the first round and all my materials were in. They said the admissions decision would take up to 5 weeks, which means BEFORE jan. 1, I guess? Also, he didn't mention an interview, does anyone know if they are definitely doing interviews this semester or not? Any info would help! I feel a bit lost without the e-mail.
Phillies Girl, I think you will be fine with only two sciences left next semester. The courses you are in now should be finished by the time interviews come along. Just make sure to do well in them since there will probably be a small amount of spots left by the time they will be able to give you an answer.
Mitch, that is the best number to call they may have been at lunch. But they could also be busy now that they have started reviewing apps. Did you send in your Prereq worksheet? That is the only thing that you send in seperately from NursingCAS.
