Jefferson FACT 2012

Published

Hello all!

I am so glad I was directed to this discussion forum. I believe it is a great place to share and learn. I am extremely interested in Jefferson's FACT program. I plan to apply for May 2012. I just wanted to reach out to anyone with similar interest and your thoughts on the process. I would like to know who else plans to apply for May 2012 and if your pre-req's have been completed.

Just to share a little about myself, I am completing my BS in Public Health at an online University (3 weeks left!) and have all the pre-req's completed. I am just excited about this next journey.

I also love how Jefferson FACT students automatically are accepted into the MSN program. My goal is to become a Women's Health NP, and Jefferson seems to be the way to go.

I would also love to hear from current students as well.

That was supposed to say others found out quickly a well.

Oh ok, that's reassuring!

Does anyone know how the program runs in terms of class schedule? It is a M-F deal or are weekends included in the program schedule? Just curious to know.

Classes are on Thurs and Fri. Clinicals are either 8 hour shifts Mon-Wed or 12 hours Sat and Sun. Other than that, wewent know details for a while.I suggest that you read the website some before your interview so that you can know a few things about the program. That way she will know that you have a real interest and that you didn't apply just to do it. Its it soon? Good luck!!

@ nishtari- I could not find that particular information on the website so that's why I was wondering. thanks for the advice!

No problem! If you have any more questions, I will do my best to answer them. Yea I dont think that info is on there. I only know because of am open house I went to.

does anyone know about CPR certification, i mean do we need such a certificate prior to enter the program. i believe thats the requirement for MSN not for us. pls. correct me if i'm wrong, anyone having any idea abt that? also, i'm a little curious about the class size, was wondering how many students will be in one class. any thoughts????? pls. share

Hi everyone,

I got an interview today and got my acceptance email two hours later. It was such a relieve; Good luck to those that are still waiting.

@nistari-I know you got a head start, can you share some info on the financial aid process as an independent? I know we need to fill out the FAFSA and submit 2011 tax return. Is there something else I might need to know?

Did you apply for the 1st or 2nd admissions period?

1st but second batch. The first batch of applicants got a decision before Jan and I was promised a decision after Jan.

@Stellaire

Congrats on your acceptance!!

Besides FAFSA, there is a financial aide application on the banner website in addition to whatever forms you have to send in. Once you get your campus key you will be able to check that out. There are some funky rules for being an independent student. There are more requirements to meet besides age and/or degree.

Hi,Im a bit confussed with the notarization. When I got the fingerprints they told me I did not need to use the card that I got on the envelope or the letter that was supposed to notarize from Databank but Im not that sure anymore, do any of you got the same answer? Good luck to those who are waiting, sending good vibes.
