  1. Hey Sunshyne, I am glad to know that you got a job. How wonderful!!! ......CONGRATULATIONS!!!!. .......are u going to work in a hospital, clinic or home care???
  2. Hi RN88NEW, I have applied for a few Clinic nurse positions at CHOP, but they won't take too long to send me a rejection email saying that at this time your appl was not selected. If you did not yet get this email, I would consider it as a good sign and wish you may be getting an interview call. Cuz their rejections are very prompt. Good luck!! :)
  3. Sunshyne, I would like to chime in till you get an expert advice . I'd say that if you are getting an offer from a nursing home, accept it just to get your foot in the door and you can still apply for hospital jobs. And this way you will have something to write about professional RN experience in your résumé. Unfortunately, I don't see any positives about hospitals hiring new grads so, we need to start somewhere. I'd also love to hear about pros and cons from experts in these areas. And thanks for the wishes, I wish the employers would have recognized & appreciated my efforts of maintaining such a good GPA.........especially in an accelerated program........ ...sigh!! I know how difficult and stressful the job hunt is....just can only say that keep going..........we shall def reach our ultimate goal.
  4. Hi Sunshyne!! I am also a new BSN graduate (May, 2013). I have passed my boards and have RN licenses in Two states. Not to discourage you, but I think no one really cares for your credentials or academics (from my own job hunt experience). ONLY connections work in this job market. I have two bachelors an one masters degree and a GPA of above 3.9, but no connections..... ...... so every time get the usual response "at this time we are pursuing another candidate whose SKILLS best match the job requirement". But the truth is people got hired even without an open advertised RN positions.
  5. hi Ash, i've sent a request to join the FB page. pls. accept it.
  6. thanx for d info mrscreixell !!!
  7. does anyone know about CPR certification, i mean do we need such a certificate prior to enter the program. i believe thats the requirement for MSN not for us. pls. correct me if i'm wrong, anyone having any idea abt that? also, i'm a little curious about the class size, was wondering how many students will be in one class. any thoughts????? pls. share
  8. i was told its $15 at your local police station, i'm not sure though.
  9. thanks a lot for d info nishtari!!
  10. @nishtari, r u done with the drug test and fingerprinting? well, i'm planning to leave around 27th or so. do u think it'll b over by then.
  11. thanx nishtari! have u ordered the package 1 yet or not. does it has any forms regarding PA child abuse clearance and any fingerprinting cards. i'm confused when to order it since the instructions say that once u receive the required forms, the process should be completed in 3 days. i don't know that if i order it today whether i'll be able to get my fingerprints done in the given timeframe.
  12. hi everyone, i 'got in' this week. for those who've already been accepted- can anyone tell me how much time does it take to complete all clearances. i'm planning to visit outside country for abt a month. do u think i should do it before my trip? any insight would be highly appreciated. thanks all!!
