Hello all!
I am so glad I was directed to this discussion forum. I believe it is a great place to share and learn. I am extremely interested in Jefferson's FACT program. I plan to apply for May 2012. I just wanted to reach out to anyone with similar interest and your thoughts on the process. I would like to know who else plans to apply for May 2012 and if your pre-req's have been completed.
Just to share a little about myself, I am completing my BS in Public Health at an online University (3 weeks left!) and have all the pre-req's completed. I am just excited about this next journey.
I also love how Jefferson FACT students automatically are accepted into the MSN program. My goal is to become a Women's Health NP, and Jefferson seems to be the way to go.
I would also love to hear from current students as well.
Hello all! I just got accepted into the FACT program for May 2012! I was wondering if anyone has begun looking into housing. I am from out of the area and I am interested in hearing what areas of Philly are good (as in safe) and places that are less expensive. Any info. is appreciated! :)
Any individuals in the program now that have good advice about living in the area, what to expect with being a FACT student, etc. would also be appreciated!
Helllo, future classmates! Congratulations to everyone accepted, and good luck to those still waiting. I had my interview and was accepted last week. I have also had an interview last year in early March and I had a feeling I would be accepted but there was not enough time to finish my prerequisite courses before May. I think you should not worry about acceptance if you have decent grades and all prerequisites done. Good luck!Does anyone know what school year FAFSA to fill? Do I fill both 2011-2012 and 2012-2013?About 3 years ago when I lied in NE Philly I used to pay about $80/month insurance for my Honda accord (no tickets, no accidents). State Farm had the best rates then.
@Emg2008 I still have to finish O-chem and A&P II. As a matter of fact, classes start today! Finals week is the first week of May. Do you think that's pushing it? My undergrad GPA is a 3.8 and I've done really well in my pre-reqs so far. I'm hoping my grades will help me out even though I have still have some courses to finish up! Thanks for the info :)
Imnovak3: As far as I understand the requirements you are fine if you are done with prerequsites BEFORE the classes start. I would "preorder" ( if possible) the transcripts. My last transcript was processesed and GPA updated by nursing CAS within 3 days after they received it. I would also resrarch all the pre-matriculation requirements now and figure out how to do it all quickly: I was suprised by the list and have to start now to meet the deadlines. Take care!
Hi, I haven't done my fingerprints this time around (haven't got the "order" on the mail), but the last time I had to do it, I went to a UPS store. This specific one was in university city (in Philly), might have been on Walnuts St. don't exactly remember.
Do any of you have an idea of how the calendar is going to work? I know we have quarters but I would like to have some tentative dates so I can plan my summer, I have family matters to take care of outside the US and need to get things going.
thanks,
Miren
