Hey! I thought I would start a thread for all the people that are applying for summer admittance into jeff state so we could get to know our possible future classmates. They're accepting 50 on each campus and with the compass completely gone,and the teas v being solely relied on plus course points of course, I think this will make for a INTERESTING admission process to say the least! Any input and comments are welcomed;-)

Thanks, Anyone have any clue where I might find some Scholarships??? I am paying out of pocket for everything and I am a stay at home mom of a 2 year old!

Lol oh I'm sorry!!! Orentation was fun!!! We energy over things that had to be done( immunizations, CPR certification, drug screenings, ect..) and we had a text book vendor came in and talked to us about the book bundle($703) then we got a packet with papers we had to sign( consent forms for background, drug test, progression stuff). Also they gave us a breakdown of the cost of the program which is estimated at $3000 BUT that's including classes like anatomy and math and if u purchase the book bundle and stuf like that- basically if you go with their suggestions and don't have anything on the paper. When I added up my cost I was only at $1200 roughly-$1500 if you include the books I already bought. Also. The medical terminology class we have is apart of fundamentals and it's online. And THEY DO teach dosage and calculations. I saw a previous post say that they didn't. It's a 90% test you have to pass before you can progress to clinicals. The lady that teaches us health ass. Teaches dosage. We have clinicals once a week. Classes are Monday, tuesday, and Wednesday from 8-12:30, and lab would be Thursday or Friday(it's first come first serve) clinicals are either Thursday or Friday( those start at the end of June), but she did say that we can expect to be there ALL day, 5 days a week for the first two weeks then it would go down to 4 days a week. We have to have which is $20 and a I'D badge which is $5. Lol umm I think I covered Everything!!

futurernjap~ did they confirm that the books would be the same editions etc. for the summer as the spring?? Do you have time to give me some ISBN's if I give you my email address? If not I understand!

So anyone have any suggestions of what kind of bag to get to carry everything? Backpack? Rolling backpack? tote???

Another question, did you guys purchase the bundle package of books?? I did, but that is a lot of money and I am not sure if it is really necessary to have them all!
