:nurse:E're E're! I'm applying for my 3rd time. Which kills me, because after this semester I'll have 200 points, as long as I succeed in making an A in both my classes, which I am expecting.
The up-side (as i generally try to find shortly after I've grumped about a bit) is that I can finish my one remaining pre-req, which is Micro. I'll be doing that at Shelby campus, since it's the only one that had a class scheduled at a time that I wouldn't have to take a major hours cut at work.
I'm a believer that God has a reason to put me in a specific nursing school class, so here's hoping the summer won't be TOO brutal!
I talked to the adviser yesterday. Cut off for Shelby was 185, Jefferson was 183. For Spring. Apparently it is getting higher every semester. She also mentioned that there is some talk of changing the requirements for Fall 09 but did not have any idea what those changes would be. They have changed to where your GPA is only counted from your last 25 credit hours. BUT GPA still doesn't really even count if you don't have the min points.
please don't say that...lets hope it stays around 183-185!!!!!
For those of us who already have degrees and do not want to have to PAY to re-take ALL of our science classes to get our b's (from UAB---which I consider a very good grade) up to A's...and cannot AFFORD to go to UAB for the second degree program!!!!!!
ok, I am venting!!!!based on my personal situation!!!!
good luck to all!

Hey guys!
Since the spring applicants are recieving acceptance letters, I thought it would be about time to make a Summer '09 thread so we can all get to know each other and hopefully have some friends before school starts. Maybe we should tell a little about ourselves?
Starting in the Summer scares me(it's so much work!), but it's really my only option. I'm very very dedicated and I will do everything I can to make sure I'm successful in my courses. I don't have a job or a family to take care of so hopefully I'll be able to studystudystudy! I won't be taking any classes in the Spring because I'll have all my points(200, if I can pass math with an A or a B) so I'm going to volunteer my time with TEARS... it's an animal rescue and rehabilitation nonprofit company.
I am so excited to start nursing school!
