Jeff State Spring 2015 Hopefuls

Hello all! I am transferring from UAB to Jeff State after two unsuccessful attempts at getting into the nursing program over there! I just spoke to the adviser and will be applying with 224.5 points. I had 2 A's and a B in my pre-reqs, and studied for a month and got an 88.7 on the Teas-V. She said that my application was very competitive, and I find it ironic/surprising that I can be competitive at one program and "not on the radar" so to speak at another! Ha! I guess it goes to show that you should never give up on your dreams -- if one avenue won't work just try a new one!

Anyways, I know it's super early, but I couldn't resist starting this post!! I hope to make some new friends so we can help each other study and be the best we can be! Good luck to all!

Jwhatle6 well when I went in to inquire about why I wasn't accepted she said they go over the scores several times to be exact five times to make sure there's no mistake. She told me mathbis straight forward it has no opinikns and that there was no possible way it was wrong. But when she actually went over my transcripts she still added if up the same. So I said I don't understand how I was accepted to several other programs and had the actual dean of one nursing school average together my score and it came out higher than what you guys are saying it is. Which it was a 2.2 gpa. Well after looking over my transcript and pointing out a mistake on there part. She really calculated the score and it came out to be a 2.8 gpa with 192.5 points. So with that said she told me since the mistake was on there behave they would have to change my rejection to and acceptance. So I was accepted into Jeff States nursing program on the main campus.

Will they let you get a refund on the uniforms at Wallace? You have been waiting a long time so I know you don't want to settle for a school. However, if you are gonna bridge to UAB afterwards it might not make a difference what community college you go to. My advisor said it was a lot less competitive to do the bridge program, BTW! Good luck, let me know what you decide!!!
