Jeff State Spring 2015 Hopefuls

Hello all! I am transferring from UAB to Jeff State after two unsuccessful attempts at getting into the nursing program over there! I just spoke to the adviser and will be applying with 224.5 points. I had 2 A's and a B in my pre-reqs, and studied for a month and got an 88.7 on the Teas-V. She said that my application was very competitive, and I find it ironic/surprising that I can be competitive at one program and "not on the radar" so to speak at another! Ha! I guess it goes to show that you should never give up on your dreams -- if one avenue won't work just try a new one!

Anyways, I know it's super early, but I couldn't resist starting this post!! I hope to make some new friends so we can help each other study and be the best we can be! Good luck to all!

Just got my email!!! Got in at Shelby with 184 points and a 2.8 GPA

I just checked and I had a 3.0 with 170 so I doubt I got in :/

Well I know I at least had 182 points but I haven't gotten an email.

That is what I am so confused about... Should I just assume I didn't get in?

I wouldn't read too much into it if you haven't gotten an email back just yet. First, they don't all go out at the same time. Second, if people with scores below yours get in then I would say you are definitely good and they just haven't sent yours yet. I am a nurse that graduated Jeff State several years back (Shelby campus) and my husband applied for Spring 2015 at Shelby campus and got accepted today. He had 175.5 points. He did not get his letter until 2 hours AFTER several people on here got theirs. I hope this makes some folks feel better! Good luck all and congrats to those who already know!!

Thank you for the information. I just want some kind of answer! I want to be a nurse so badly and I don't want to have to wait another semester just to bring those points up by 2 or 3 :/

You could also call them tomorrow. To make sure. Sometimes they can have a wrong email or your provider blocked it.
