JCCC RN Nursing School Interview 2014

U.S.A. Kansas

Hello all,

I just had my JCCC Nursing School Interview today. I think it went well but I was very nervous. I interviewed with two women in the conference room in the CLB building. They asked me 10 questions and then gave me the opportunity to ask them questions. There was one question that really stumped me. I really hope that I have a shot for a spot in their nursing program. If you haven't already had your interview, make sure you have some good questions ready. And try to be confident and calm. Both ladies I met with were very friendly and were smiling the entire time. They want you to do well so just be yourself! :)

Did you get an interview and how did it go? One of ladies told me that they have all the way up until April 30th to let us know. The worst part is waiting...

I just had my interview today! SO nervous to find out! I interviewed with two ladies as well and they made it easy to feel relaxed. With that being said I was still extremely nervous and my answers showed that. All that is left to do is wait! ugh!

I know! I am anxiously waiting! Have you applied to any other nursing schools? And were you told a date to expect a acceptance/rejection letter? I forgot to ask.

Also what is your GPA and ACT score? My GPA is good but I got a 26 on the ACT science portion. I am very nervous about it! :(

She told me that after the first of April for letters to be sent out.all would be out by the end of the month for sure! That is what I scored on my science portion as well, and my gpa is a 3.8. I know what you mean about being nervous..one month of not knowing is not going to be easy because I put all my eggs in one basket and have only applied here at jccc.! Ah ...have you applied to any other programs?

I am so nervous because I only have one back up! I applied to Neosho - Mary Grimes School of Nursing. I take my TEAS test with them on March 31st. JCCC is my first choice though!

Well good luck to you! ill let you know when i get my letter (rejection or acceptance)!!

Sounds good! Same to you. Thank you :)

Specializes in Oncology/hematology.

Good luck to both of you. I am graduating from JCCC's program in 52 days (I can't believe it). It's a fantastic program. The interview and waiting process are really hard, I know. I applied with a 4.0 and a 26 on the science (32 overall), but I know people got in with lower gpas and act scores than I did.

Was told I have a letter from nursing department at jccc awaiting me at home!!! So nervousness to see what it reads!! Have you received anything yet?

I received something certified mail! I missed it this morning though. I went there and they said I'll have to come back for it. But I have to go back to the post office when the currier gets back! A friend told me acceptance letters come certified. I wish 4 o'clock would get here so I can go check at the post office again! Was yours certified or regular??
