January 2018 Nclex

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi everyone! Any January 2018 test takers? I took mine yesterday from 2pm-7pm. I'm pretty sure I bombed. I did not feel confident, had a headache halfway through, and walked out of there feeling defeated. It was the longest 5 hours of my life and I didn't mentally prepare for it enough. I got home, did the PVT 2 hours afer, got the good pop-up. Tried again this morning, still the good pop-up. But i fear that I wouldn't pass the BON's quality check. The waiting game is making me anxious, so I'm hoping to just let it all out and keep myself distracted.

Cheers to everyone who passed! And for test takers, I couldn't emphasize it enough: go in there for a 260-item exam (I took this little tidbit for granted and ended up with a headache). Good luck!

Taking mine January 26th at 0800-- using Kaplan Live Online, LaCharity, and the allnurses NCLEX study guide as my resources.

That allnurses NCLEX study guide seemed to have a lot of good stuff in it too. Good luck! You can do this!

hi! can i ask where did you get Mark Klimek audio? or can o ask for a copy from you please? thank you!

UPDATE: I took the test January 2, my name posted on the board on January 4 morning. (I'm still in a state of shock :zombie: but very, very grateful!). Just a tip for California test takers. I guess PVT is pretty accurate still.

I went with Mark Klimek's audio plus UWorld. I have the LaCharity book which I barely got to touch (a shame since I had plenty of prioritization questions). For UWorld, I would advise familiarizing yourself with the diseases that are on there (s/s plus interventions). The isolations were also a big thing on mine.

gladysfdrdeguzman Good luck on your test! You got this!!!

I just took mine on January 6th. Found out through my board that I passed today!

I felt pretty uncertain when I left too, but I felt that I ended with a few correct questions, so that helped me in resisting the urge to try the trick. I had very few alternate format questions, so it made me even more nervous.

I used Prep U/Passpoint/Lippincott since it was provided by my school, the Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2015-2016 Strategies, Practice, and Review with Practice Test and U-World to study.

Hi

I take it on January 9th at 0800. I did the Hurst review (q review questions scores 90/125, 92/125, 95/125, and 97/125) and have gone through all the UWorld questions twice. I have a 99% pass rate with ATI and a very high pass rate with UWorld. I'm nervous and really don't know what else I could be studying. Any ideas?

I'm taking the NCLEX tomorrow (today? Jan 9) as well! I WISH my Hurst scores were nearly that good. I'm so anxious. Glad mine isn't until 2pm! Best of luck!

As long as you understand why you missed the questions and read the rationales, you should do fine. I've read everywhere that it's not the score but understanding the reasoning behind the answers that help you pass. You've got this!! Good luck to you
