Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.
We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?
But I've also spoken to some people at south they say they love it. I've also heard central is hell as well. and I always hear good things about North. But I guess everyone is different it all depends on the individual. I remember being told to stay away from certain professors while taking pre reqs but I took them anyway and got "A" s. Everyone is different one campus might benefit one person and hurt the other. I would love to go to central trust me that was my first choice, but I can't afford it. the clinicals are extremely far...I live in Aventura it took me over 30 min to get to central, imagine how much longer for clinical sights. I wanna save as much money I can in the program, I might have to quit my job. But how is your boyfriend doing now at south if you don't mind me asking did he pass GIGU second time around?[/quote']
He's in the process of retracking right now so hopefully when he restarts GIGU in January he'll pass. I was hoping to graduate with him but I'll be six months ahead by the time he ends GIGU.
I'm a little confused. She told us today that the registration date was the 23rd but I just went on and checked it says the 24th. Does anyone else have that problem?
mine says the 23 @ 8am. you may want to call them about that.

I have a quick question I am not doing too well in A&P1. My professor advise me not to drop the class with a W just change Credit to Audit. Would I still have a chance in to nursing school? Would it affect me when applying? What is the different between not getting a W and getting a class Audit?
What a day of informative information. As I was looking to register for an HSC class I noticed that the Nursing courses were already filled. I think people are registering, although we were told specific instructions on what we need to do. Also, I got my Acceptance!
