Hi All .. checking in on my certified background. Has anyone elses drug testing results came up? I took my drug test 10/25 and the results are still not there ! just wondering where everyone else was at !

Hi Bonnie90,

They accepted my FBI clearance paperwork but declined my health insurance card copy because I forgot to attach it to the blank page they gave us in the packet. I just took my drug test yesterday and I have my dental appt and doc appt this week, so those will get sent right after. Not looking forward to all the boosters I"m gonna have to get :crying2: since I'm older and actually had the diseases and have no shot records. Went for my CPR - that was fun. I NEVER realized doing the chest compressions was that difficult though. It's A LOT of work if you'd be doing it alone. I don't think I'd ever attempt it - unless of course I was the only one available. Anyways, I'm on line looking for stethoscopes and good, comfortable white sneakers for clinicals. My stethoscope is gonna be expensive because I have a moderate to severe hearing deficit (genetic) - SO, please be patient with me girls! :sniff: I'm sooo excited!!

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement momofsix and wontgiveup. momofsix your post have a way of touching me! You are annointed! Take that with you into the nursing field and youll be to hot to handle..lol! and who knows maybe we will be classmates in abt 2 years :) I did some research on Penn state's rn-bsn program and its open to all nurses! The only difference with ARIA is that they have a partnership with them which helps you guys get in without reapplying vs me who will have to apply to get in. Im so excited about starting Nursing school!!!

@momofsix I switched drs and some how some of my medical records were misplaced and I couldnt find my copy of my immunization. My dr just ordered titers for everything. So maybe you won't have to get boosters for all of them.

@bumblebee or other current students at Aria. I am starting to purchase some of the books for Nursing 110 on amazon. Are there any books that we should absolutely buy new?? For example, any that have CDs or computer codes to access NECESSARY material from the internet for our courses? I am only looking to purchase mainly the fundamentals book and some of the other "required" texts at first. We ARE allowed to buy them from places other than Rittenhouse right? Just wanted to ask before I spend the money. Thanks!

Nope I also was wondering about orientation. My deposit was finally cleared and posted on my account !! has anyone else recieved any other information after the deposit was processed?

the only one you need right now is fundamentals. and yea u can get it from anywhere. and the codes dont matter. if its used u may not be able to access the videos online but its not a big deal and u could always use a classmates code to watch videos at school. ive done that when i couldnt even remember my login anyway
