Published

Hi. Anyone apply for Aria SON? for January 2012 start?:)

Hi All ! just stumbled upon this site, had a good time reading on all the past post.. it has been very helpful ! I have also been accepted to begin in january.

has anyone had luck with the code ??

good luck to all !!

Avg5012, welcome to the site & congratulations on your acceptance! :) I'll probably call on monday for the code issue.. So do you have a degree already and/or taken any pre-req courses besides chemistry for Aria?

$700??!!! For just N1 books? or for all of our books? Don't these book companies know we are starving students!!! LOL

Nope, that's just for N110 itself.....:uhoh21:

ugh i just wrote a whole post and clicked the wrong thing and i have to do it again. ok so what did i just say....? :p

ok check ebay, amazon and other places for your books. for example, this semester im in a math class and the new book is $130, i found the prior edition for $16 off ebay and its fine. for next semester, i already got my maternal child book off ebay, the prior edition, for $5.50!!!!! and im sure it will be fine. i mean some people STILL manage to pass and barely read anyway!

worse case scenario you have to wait to buy your books until your refund check comes in the mail....ok dont stress, youll just be spending alot of time in the library reading what u need to there! all the books are there! you just cant take them out of the library, which is a good thing cuz they will always be available.

uniforms? get two sets and youll be fine. if your broke, buy one! it wont kill you! :)

uhmmmm as far as the paperwork goes, try to get it all in asap. you need everything done by february before you are allowed to start clinical. so relax and breathe my dears

Ohh ok thank goodness the library has them! And that's great that they allow earlier editions. Thanks for sharing all that info, it takes a huge weight off!

you dont need to bring your nursing books to class. they give you powerpoint packets and they lecture off them in class. the chapters you read at home is more in depth to what you learn in class, but u do need to read it.

most penn state classes you dont need to bring your books either

i have a friend that never buys the books, shes always in the library using theres

they techinically dont 'allow' it. they say you can if u have to. but they warn that the material may be different. so far until now i've had all the new nursing books, but now i just dont want to pay that much anymore.

Nice!! We don't have to lug those books around.. That's what i do for my microbio class, i just go to the library and read the assigned pages and it's worked out fine.

Hmm well there can't be that many differences, right? And im sure they'd go over the new key points that need to be taught in class.

*shrug* who knows. they don't mention everything in class that you need to know. somethings will be on the test that you learned from reading your text. i just bout the older version for next semester and im not sweating it at all. they changed your fundamentals book from the ones we had. i would check ebay every few days first to get the latest version first before i think about buying from rittenhouse or an older version. it all depends. theres another website where you can rent books. some students do that. its called chegg i think
