2012 January Aria students?

Published

Hi. Anyone apply for Aria SON? for January 2012 start?:)

Hey guys,

Sorry if I didn't get to respond to your emails soon enough. I was working today. I was going to post the code on the forum but I figured it was wise not too because we're using it to enter important information.

In case you're wondering how I got it, here's a link,

https://www.certifiedbackground.com/cgi-bin/app_selectOrg.pl?applicant=student

Below the box where we were suppose to enter our code, is a button that says," contact student services if you don't have a code.That's what I used to contact them and I received the email this morning.. Hope that helps. Seems the code is the same for everyone. Hope that helps..

*email with the code*

Thanks wontgiveup!

I registered tonight. Not exactly sure I understand how it all works though. :( I'll figure it out as I go I guess. I already have my FBI, Criminal, and child abuse clearances done. Had to get it done recently for something else. I sent away for my CPR class. Question: I'm an older student, what do I do about my immunization records? I don't have them anymore and I don't have dates, etc for when I had the diseases. Yes, I HAD the chicken pox, measles, and mumps. haha - I'm THAT old. :) Anyone out there that's already at Aria that could ask one of the "older" students how they handled their immunization records with Certified Background?? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi momofsix,

At least you have those background checks out of the way. I actually logged onto the background website and they've processed 2 items already. :) Did you see the to-do list? I have about 14 things to do, then attach. This whole process is interesting. wow!

Talking about immunizations..I also had chicken pox and mumps but no records...Am sure the Dr will document it in one way or the other.

@bumblebee are the uniforms white?

Hi wontgiveup.

I spoke with Julie today. She told me to just go the doctors and they would figure it out. She said they know how to handle paperwork like immunizations, etc. She said I may have to get boosters or something also. Whatever I have to do is fine I guess, although I am no big proponent of immunizations. :) crazy I'm going to nursing school. lol. I have a huge interest in holistic medicine and may pursue something along those lines after graduation as I know there is an association for holistic nurses. Anyways, my husband is faxing some of my documents tomorrow that I have already. I'm excited to see how this whole system works.

I must say, now that things are underway, I am sooo excited!!! How about you?

I think I read in a previous post from Nep1980 that the uniforms are now like a tealish green color? But double check with bumblebee

I know I'm hoping for the green. I HATE white!!!

youre right, they are that green color. if u go to the aria website, we match that blue-green color that 'aria' is written with.

yep, i was very happy to find out that they switched. when they changed the name from frankford to aria they did

Thanks momofsix for the info. Am very excited about getting into nursing school.:) btwn, I love change. This is a big step for me and, of course, for all who are going in this direction.

Am glad there's not much pricking for me this time because I needed most of those immunizations 2 yrs ago. It's good to know that you're into holistic medicine. Haven't done much research on it but I've heard about it. I've been staying away from the seasonal flu shot but looks like I'll have no choice this time. :(

@wontgiveup

I actually NEVER get the flu shot, but, as you said...NO CHOICE, which I hate. But considering we will be coming in contact much more frequently with sick people, I guess it's wise.

I cannot believe this...every time I think about it. I've been working for 2 1/2 years on classes @ccp. I cannot believe I'm starting nursing school in 2 months!!! I've got butterflies. hahaha

everything is about the patient...as you willl see. the flu shot isnt about YOU, its about YOU not passing something on to your patient.

congrats again guys. it will be here before you know it :) i cant believe after one month i can say i am a year in! it really goes by so fast.
