I was curious to know if anyone else applied to the JSR RN program for the Fall 2012. Would you be willing to post your stats??? (GPA, Kaplan scores, etc). I feel very blessed b/c I orginally thought I'd missed the deadline but one evening while I was surfing the web I saw where JSR had extended their deadline...I was able to make it to the last information session, May 7th...and I took the Kaplan test all on the same day (Passed!) and applied to the program the following week.
My stats are a 3.8 GPA, 89% Math and 86% Reading (ran out of time)...not the greatest scores but I can't complain...I had no time to study before taking the test...oh yeah and a pre-req GPA of 3.5 (receive B's in my A&P courses and a 'C' in ENG 111) with no previous degree.
Anyone else out there on the waiting train to hear back from JSR nursing dept???
Things have been good! i got into the program!! I wrote you to let you know! So excited to start as soon as they work the stuff out with this registration! I choose section 6. How about you?
I told you that you were going to get in!....lol ;-) I was looking for you in orientation? But anyway I'm in section 2 but I may switch to section 4 still debating on it.
I originally wanted section 2 based on the handout from orientation, but then they switched the clinical to Sat . So I picked section 6, but theres a conflict with NUR 226 06 lab time. ( it's been a little unorganized, but I guess that's to be expected in any program?) So now I just have to wait and see what they change the NUR 226 lab to. A little frustrating, but at least there's a little more than a month until we start so hopefully they work it out!

Unorganized yes! But hopefully the kinks will be worked out just enough to make learning comfortable. I'm so happy you got in! I can't wait for our study groups :-) I have started buying my supplies Ie: shoes, pen light, drug guide book, scrubs ....etcHave you gotten anything? I've also handed in the packet given to us in orientation. I'm on a roll. ..lol ;-)
I've ordered all my books. I have my physical next week and am waiting on my immunization record to get here so I can take that to the DR office. I have to order the background check next week. Since I just got in last week I am now rushing to get everything together, lol. But I should have everything done in time.
What is the brand of the scrubs? I want to see if I can find a more flattering style! lol.
I forgot the brand name but I do know the color is blueberry. I just received my shoes today, I'm ordering my books from Amazon as they are cheaper. I'm going to uniform city to see if they have scrubs with front and leg pockets. LET THE JOURNEY BEGAN!!! lolI'm so getting prepared I've already started getting school supplies, I'm such a nerd..Bahahaha! ;-)
