I was curious to know if anyone else applied to the JSR RN program for the Fall 2012. Would you be willing to post your stats??? (GPA, Kaplan scores, etc). I feel very blessed b/c I orginally thought I'd missed the deadline but one evening while I was surfing the web I saw where JSR had extended their deadline...I was able to make it to the last information session, May 7th...and I took the Kaplan test all on the same day (Passed!) and applied to the program the following week.
My stats are a 3.8 GPA, 89% Math and 86% Reading (ran out of time)...not the greatest scores but I can't complain...I had no time to study before taking the test...oh yeah and a pre-req GPA of 3.5 (receive B's in my A&P courses and a 'C' in ENG 111) with no previous degree.
Anyone else out there on the waiting train to hear back from JSR nursing dept???
Hey guys...I've been offered a spot as an alternate as well...not sure if I'm gonna accept b/c I think I want to wait and hear back from the other school I applied to...will keep you guys posted...congrats on your acceptance Aprilslife
Update...just found out I got in @ my school NVCC...I'm so happy (no relocation required)...so I won't be accepting the alternate position...wishing U all the luck on gettin in lav42788
Lav42788 What's up? Just checking on you. I heard some go news, I found out that so far 2 people are not going into the program and these are people that had gotten acceptance letters. I also found out through 1 of my friends that several people got rejection letters 1 of which was transfering from another nursing school. So give me a shout when you get this.

I have my connection's....lol no really I have just made lots of good friends during my time at jsrcc and I have just been loyal. I have been correct on all of the info so far so it's a good thing...lol. as far as the people that got rejected it was due to poor grades.
lol. Well your good connections have been so helpful to me! Thank you so much for keeping me updated on everything that you have heard! Since I have taken a lot of my classes through distance learning (because of my children) it's been hard to meet people in the program. Hopefully I'll get my phone call/email soon! I really hope I get in for the fall!! I really want to hear before the info session! I dropped of my letter saying I 'accept' my spot on Friday when I took my CPR class. Now I just have to wait and see if I get in officially!!
I wouldn't worry to much it's been said by several people that they take alternates every semester because people change their minds, financial, go to other schools or don't pass criminal or health check ups
