Hey Everybody!

I was curious to know if anyone else applied to the JSR RN program for the Fall 2012. Would you be willing to post your stats??? (GPA, Kaplan scores, etc). I feel very blessed b/c I orginally thought I'd missed the deadline but one evening while I was surfing the web I saw where JSR had extended their deadline...I was able to make it to the last information session, May 7th...and I took the Kaplan test all on the same day (Passed!) and applied to the program the following week.

My stats are a 3.8 GPA, 89% Math and 86% Reading (ran out of time)...not the greatest scores but I can't complain...I had no time to study before taking the test...oh yeah and a pre-req GPA of 3.5 (receive B's in my A&P courses and a 'C' in ENG 111) with no previous degree.

Anyone else out there on the waiting train to hear back from JSR nursing dept???

I'm a person that always worries regardless....I feel as if there is a maybe or something goes wrong ...I don't know why but no matter how hard I work I think I could always do better ... :-/@

My profile picture is how I feel right now! Lol I have knots in my stomach ...well again people from the 3/31 deadline did not have very high gpa's so that should make me feel better :-) I'm just going to stress until I hear something ....lol

I got in as an alternate. Go for info session on the 26th. Hopefully a spot opens up!

Have y'all hear anything!?!? I'm still trying to get in touch with someone who can tell me how this 'alternate' thing works. I have to know whether or not to put my kids in childcare! AHHHH I hope yall get in!

Got my letter today ....YEAHHHHHHH! gotta be there on June 26th for orientation. Yesssssss! I think that alternate letter means your in as well congratulations :-)

I wish. lol. I hope so. We'll see. I'm trying to find out where I am on the alternate list that way I know how many people have to decide not to attend the program for me to get my seat! Hopefully I'm #1 lol. I still HAVE to go on the 26th so I'll see you there! I told you that you would get in!!! Now we have to keep our fingers crossed so a seat can open up for me!!!

I know you're gonna get in! Put it like this you didn't get a rejection letter and I'm sure that some people are gonna have issues that will prohibit them from starting. Ie: Criminal background, drug test or anything

I hope so! (not that I hope something horrible happens to someone, but I hope that people decide not to go, got into somewhere else etc). I'm just trying to figure out how many people actually got alternate and how they then let people in. It's just stressful being stuck in 'limbo' especially since I need to know whether or not I need to enroll my children in childcare and commit to $1000 dollar a month payments (which is super stressful). They said that we have to be open to accept up until the first day of classes (August 20th). I'm so happy you got it, you've obviously worked really hard and really deserve it. I figure if I don't end up getting in I'll take more classes to go towards my BSN and reapply for the Spring (When there is actually a larger chance of me getting in).

I have my fingers crossed extra hard! I know god has your back and he will make sure you get in. Call and find out what number you are on the list. I super happy you got a good letter and not rejection, so I will be praying for you. I will still see you on the 26th which is a good thing in itself :-)

Thanks!! I really hope so!!! Hopefully my chances are good. They did say there has never been a term they can remember where they didn't take an alternate, so that's good news!
