Ivytech 2015 Fall Admission

U.S.A. Indiana

Published

Hi!

I didn't see a thread for this and wanted to start something up. I have read up on discussions online, talked to people I know, and watched some youtube videos to see how other are doing. I just basically want to know where everyone is at in the admission process. What are your teas scores? Have you applied? Which program ASN or LPN?

Thanks and good luck!

Sierra

I applied for ASN and LPN at the Indy campus with somewhere around 136. Idk why I didn't apply at more campuses I'm really worried now! The wait is awful

Anyone apply to Muncie/Anderson/Marion?

For those of you who applied for the Fall, have you finished all your prereqs or planning on finishing them before you start the nursing program? I have finished APHY 1 and English and I'm taking Psychology in the summer. Is it a goo idea to apply in September for the Spring? Thanks and good luck!

I've finished all of my prerequisites. If I were you I would definitely take psychology and apply for the spring semester! I thought psychology was super easy. Have you already taken the teas or are you waiting until later in the summer to take it?

I haven't taken my TEAS yet, but if I apply in September, I should start getting ready for it.

Yeah I would take it mid July if I were you. That's what I am going to do if I don't get in this time. I will retake the teas and try to raise my score and reapply.

Personally thought psych assignments were easy but did not do so well on the midterm or final exam. I did the online class and wonder if I would have felt the same way if I would have taken the class in person. I did not actually start enjoying the class until the last half when we got to the disorders and treatments. Maybe that helped some. I always thought too much into the questions also, lol!

Also, can waiting for the letter be any longer! GEEZ

How long did you, guys, study for TEAS? I am very nervous about the test.

I only studied a couple of days before I took the teas. I got a 76 on it. I definitely would have done better if I would have studied more for it. I think it really helped that I had chemistry, anatomy, and math 136 already before I took it.

If you are applying for RN you must have all your prerequisites done the semester before, I could not apply for RN for fall because I am finishing math in the summer.

That depends, the TEAS was hard for me because it had been a very long time since I had any of those subjects.

The TEAS wasn't too bad except for the Science section. I couldn't get that down. I hadn't taken a chemistry class before and it has been 12 years since I have been in school. I ended up having a 78% with having 64% on my science section.
