Hey everyone! So the deadline has officially passed... and now we wait! I haven't seen any dedicated threads for Spring semester yet, so I figured this would be a good way to support each other and provide updates so we can try to get through the month of September together. I hope we can maintain at least a little bit of our sanity until then!
So who else is waiting for the letter(s)?
Ok, I am going crazy here. Those of you who got emails....did you get into the valpo or gary program? I know that they all go into a pool and you are assigned a location based on where you live. I would be closer to valpo, but I have not received anything yet. I am praying Gary sentvout emails for their cohort and valpo is sending letters. Bc my score was right at 131 too, so I am confused as to why I wasn't accepted. I am starting to go completely bonkers not knowing.
Pretty sure I had everything in there. I litetally quadruple checked! Lol. All I know is that no one there (valpo) is returning my e-mails or my call. Maybe that means I was lower in the 131's?? Rarwrrr! I dislike not knowing, although I did pray about this lots and lots and hoped that whatever was best for me was the way it would end up. Worst case scenario I apply to South Bend (where I actually live) for Fall admission. I can retake the teas, as I honestly didnt truly study a lot (bc when I took it like six yrs back I got a 90.2 & I figured I would be okay. WRONG! My brain forgot lots and i only got an 80). Thank goodness that old one didnt count against my limit. Well, congratulations everyone else! I am happy for all you who worked so hard and got in!!!!! ☺☺☺
This thread has become so active! Congratulations to everyone who received their letter/email :) Does anyone else find the vaccine letter intimidating? I'm thinking about going to minute clinic or someplace similar. Will the doctor look at my school vaccines and approve those, or do the records have to come from the state?
Congratulations Hak, myjourneyw, & cshaefer!!!
Comfypants (your name makes me lol every time), the Bloomington's Spring class is "accelerated". So we go Spring-Summer-Fall-Spring. I am not sure if other campuses are like this, but it is possible!
LuvCoffee, as long as you have records of having those vaccines, you should be good to go. MMR & Varicella are given as babies, Hep B is usually as well, so they shouldn't ask everyone to get re-vaccinated. Maybe try calling your nursing department? I think your records should be fine as long as they are from a physician.
YAY koverton! I was worried for you, I am so glad that they accepted your app as-is! That is awesome!

I work in an occupational health clinic and we do these physicals for people all the time. As long as you have some kind of paperwork that you had the vaccinations, the MD will most likely sign off on it for you. Ours do.

I got an email acceptance from the Gary campus, nothing from Valpo so I assume that it's cause I am in Lake Coubty. I haven't gotten any physical mail yet though.
