Ivy Tech Spring 2011 Applicants

Published

Hey, just seeing who's on here that will be applying with me. I'm applying to Muncie, Kokomo, and Ft. Wayne. I feel like this is all I think about already. I'm retaking a couple of pre reqs this summer to improve my score. I've already taken the teas but will probably retake it as I only received an 83. I've also attended all the nursing info sessions. What is everybody else doing to prepare? I'm so paranoid about forgetting something! I'm looking forward to talking with people in the same boat. Or if anyone who has already applied wants to share advice, I'd gladly listen!

Did Valpo letters go out today?

I called there this morning and Bob said they were being mailed today. He would not give me the range of scores, he said they were not releasing that information anymore.

Thanks for the info! Just a couple of more days to wait! Good luck to you!

I am really bummed I got a denial letter from lawerence Friday I had 197 not sure what cut off score was does anyone else no thanks and congrats on those who did get in.

Did you apply to both RN and LPN programs??? I got in with a 200 so I guess I was towards the bottom of the list, but keep hope, there are people declining their seats...

Yeah both rn and pn I was told the cut off was 198 and I had 197 there is still that chance i will get a call for a seat that becomes open keeping my fingers and toes crossed:)

Just wondering if anyone else has heard any low applicant/low scores rumors for the muncie campus. While it seems doubtful to me, I'm trying to hold on to any hope I have! I get so ticked to hear of ivy tech nursing students dropping out early on. Its a slap in the face to those who don't get in but would make wonderful nurses!!

Will the letter state that you are an alternate if an opening comes available?

I think you have a very good chance of getting called. So many people apply to more than one campus and then seats become available. Or their situations change and they can't take the seat. Good luck to you and let us know.

No I do not think the letter states if your an alternate but, I have just heard that so I assume they have them

Thanks Skyblue I sure hope so

Congratulations to the lucky people who have gotten acceptance letters! (I don't mean lucky as in "luck of the draw". More of lucky you already received your letters, and I'm jealous!) I can only imagine the shouts of joy, and the excitement of getting everything ready for the start of the spring semester!

Has anyone heard a peep from the Terre Haute campus? I heard a rumor the letters would be delayed going out due to an audit, but I can't confirm the rumor, or find how how long they mean by "delayed". Sheese, I'm going nuts from the stress of stalking the mailman!

6 more hours until my mailman comes...:uhoh3:
