Hi everyone! Just wanted to start a thread for all of us applying to the RN/LPN Nursing Program for the 2017 Spring Semester!
I am currently in the process of studying super hard for my TEAS re-take. I took it last Saturday and got a whopping 70 I was really disappointed in that. My current points if I were to apply right now are 121/160 so I don't think that is enough for the RN program. Hopefully I do alot better the second time around! At least I know what to expect now on this terrible test! lol I plan on applying to Indy and Bloomington campuses. Good Luck to us all!
Thanks for the response yeah I emailed the advisor at the Fort Wayne campus about retaking a courses such as A&P 101, ENG111 and PSY101 if at all possible even if I can do them online. I have an A this semester in A&P102 and yes I have taken MATH I took it over the summer MATH123 got a B. I haven't taken the TEAS yet, I don't plan to do this until I have completed or almost completed my pre reqs. I am actually applying to Marion and Wabash. If I can't reapply to Fort Wayne. I am hoping to retake the prereqs this spring and apply to either campus for the LPN or RN. I am highly considering LPN and the bridge to the RN after. I seriously don't want medical assisting. I will do whatever it takes to increase my chances of being accepted into a nursing program. If it means retake classes to get As then that's what it means. Hopefully the advisors will see it this way. I was figuring this out if I complete my prereqs this spring I can take the TEAS all by May 18, the application deadline for the LPN/RN program for fall 2017 and would start my nursing classes hopefully in August. If I do the PN program I would graduate around fall of 2018. This is great because I am due to graduate with an Associates in medical assisting in May of 2018. I have not even applied to the MA program yet so I figure I would graduate from the LPN program only a few months after I'm supposed to graduate with my Associates. Please feel free to say what you think as I am open forvany kind of advice.

I am attending Muncie in the spring. I was told I MUST get an A in A&P 101 -- period. ENG 111 and PSYC 101 are the other two that go into the total score -- so an A in those would be ideal, as well. Have you already taken your math? What about TEAS? I am completing prerequisites and taking TEAS in the spring, to apply for the fall program, and it's a very tight window. Teachers' grades are not due until May 16 and the application deadline is 11:59 PM on May 18. I have been told it can be done, but all ducks must be in a row -- including speaking to each teacher and making sure they can have my grades in on time.
