Ivy Tech Nursing Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to start a thread for all of us applying to the RN/LPN Nursing Program for the 2017 Spring Semester!

I am currently in the process of studying super hard for my TEAS re-take. I took it last Saturday and got a whopping 70 :grumpy: I was really disappointed in that. My current points if I were to apply right now are 121/160 so I don't think that is enough for the RN program. Hopefully I do alot better the second time around! At least I know what to expect now on this terrible test! lol I plan on applying to Indy and Bloomington campuses. Good Luck to us all! :woot:

I am attending Muncie in the spring. I was told I MUST get an A in A&P 101 -- period. ENG 111 and PSYC 101 are the other two that go into the total score -- so an A in those would be ideal, as well. Have you already taken your math? What about TEAS? I am completing prerequisites and taking TEAS in the spring, to apply for the fall program, and it's a very tight window. Teachers' grades are not due until May 16 and the application deadline is 11:59 PM on May 18. I have been told it can be done, but all ducks must be in a row -- including speaking to each teacher and making sure they can have my grades in on time.

Thanks for the response yeah I emailed the advisor at the Fort Wayne campus about retaking a courses such as A&P 101, ENG111 and PSY101 if at all possible even if I can do them online. I have an A this semester in A&P102 and yes I have taken MATH I took it over the summer MATH123 got a B. I haven't taken the TEAS yet, I don't plan to do this until I have completed or almost completed my pre reqs. I am actually applying to Marion and Wabash. If I can't reapply to Fort Wayne. I am hoping to retake the prereqs this spring and apply to either campus for the LPN or RN. I am highly considering LPN and the bridge to the RN after. I seriously don't want medical assisting. I will do whatever it takes to increase my chances of being accepted into a nursing program. If it means retake classes to get As then that's what it means. Hopefully the advisors will see it this way. I was figuring this out if I complete my prereqs this spring I can take the TEAS all by May 18, the application deadline for the LPN/RN program for fall 2017 and would start my nursing classes hopefully in August. If I do the PN program I would graduate around fall of 2018. This is great because I am due to graduate with an Associates in medical assisting in May of 2018. I have not even applied to the MA program yet so I figure I would graduate from the LPN program only a few months after I'm supposed to graduate with my Associates. Please feel free to say what you think as I am open forvany kind of advice.

Hello again, Marieh. I have some thoughts for you ~ but I am going to post on the other thread for Ivy Tech Fall 2017 Hopefuls (which I created). Let's chat there from now on to keep things simple. I sadly haven't seen any activity on the Ivy Tech threads lately.

Its all good 37 changes no worries here. I was just wanting feedback on all this seems some people are more supportive than others. I may have been wrong to choose nursing anyway since so many people go for it. Anyway let's chat on the other thread if you would like.

Has anyone taken CHEM 101 online??? IF so, any recommendations on a specific professor? I am retaking this to improve my grade :(

What does this class consist of when done online. ANY info is greatly appreciated it

Did you get in with 120 overall score
