Hi everyone! Just wanted to start a thread for all of us applying to the RN/LPN Nursing Program for the 2017 Spring Semester!
I am currently in the process of studying super hard for my TEAS re-take. I took it last Saturday and got a whopping 70 I was really disappointed in that. My current points if I were to apply right now are 121/160 so I don't think that is enough for the RN program. Hopefully I do alot better the second time around! At least I know what to expect now on this terrible test! lol I plan on applying to Indy and Bloomington campuses. Good Luck to us all!

Hello! I am planning on applying to Columbus, Lawrence, and Sellersburg for Spring 2017! I am going to apply to the PN program. I took my Teas and scored a 73, but I didn't feel like I prepared that well. I am studying like crazy for my retake in a few weeks. Science was tough. I really need a score in the 80's to feel like I have a chance with my other points.
Good luck on your next test. I hear that everyone usually does a lot better on their second try. I'm hoping that's the case for us! :) It's so competitive, I have been so anxious. lol.

Hi guys! I was wondering if you think I should retake my teas I am applying with all As in my pre reqs and I got an 80 on my teas overall but when the sub scores were added I now have a 79.3 I am applying to Gary and Valpo for the spring asn program... Any thoughts???? I'm a nervous wreck oh and my total would be 139.3/160...
That is a great score! They say more people get accepted in the spring with lower scores because not as many people apply, but I think your score is more than good enough regardless. If you want to get an idea of more scores you should check out the Ivy Tech nursing group on facebook. The group is very informative and has many members who are graduates of the program, currently in the program, and hoping to get into the program. If you can't find it , I can get you a link. :)
Applications are almost due!!! AHHH..my nerves. I'm applying to Lawrence, Bloomington and Anderson for ASN (will consider PN if I don't get into ASN.) I have 125.7/160 so I'm super nervous about getting in Has anyone heard of being accepted into the ASN program with a score like mine? I'm bummed I didn't do better on the TEAS but it is what it is...and now we wait!
Hey JessP87,
I am so nervous about my application too. I am still going to take my Teas one more time, so that makes me extra anxious. In the Ivy Tech Facebook group I have seen someone get accepted into an ASN program with a 117 and a few more with 123's. I do believe that Bloomington and Lawrence are harder to get into. I saw a lot of high scores for those programs, but I am not sure what the range was. I think that you have a great chance. Good Luck!
Thanks so much! I feel a little better now. What FB group is this? Do you have a link? :) Good luck on your second TEAS try! I just re-took mine this past Saturday and did a little better, but not as well as I wanted. I hope we both get in!!
Thank you. Me too!

Hey guys. I have applied to the Lawrence Campus. I live out of state but my hometown is Indianapolis. My husband accepted a job on 8/1 in Indianapolis giving me a week to get my book and an additional week to study for the teas exam offered before the deadline in the state we currently reside. Needless to say, I did not do well on the Teas and my total points with straight As is 131 pts. I called the nursing school this morning and they did inform me that my score would be in the bottom and I should accept placement in the LPN program if offered and transition. My Mom is a nurse practitioner and she advised against going that route. Good luck to everyone and make sure you post if you got your acceptance.
Hi! I've known a lot of people to do the transition, just curious why your mom advised against this? I'm curious and will probably be in LPN with my score so just want additional insight! Thanks :)
