Ivy Tech Fall 2019 Hopefuls

Published

I don't believe there is a board already started. I am ready to take my TEAS test in January and apply for the Fall 2019 nursing program. I just wanted to make a board so we can all keep each other up to date. I am only able to apply at my main campus in Lafayette, IN in the Fall so I decided to wait. I hope this is a place we can offer each other support and share our scores before we wait for the news! Good luck everyone and study hard!

Hi everyone! I have yet to receive an email and I am feeling pretty hopeless at this point. This is my second go at applying. I have two small girls and I am a single mom. I can’t keep doing this, but I want it very badly. I know last time I applied I was told I could start the medical assistant program if I wanted to, but I wasn’t ready to give up at that point, so i improved my score and applied again. Does anyone know if I am able to accept the medical assistant program and still apply in September for the rn and or lpn program, or do I have to choose between the two options? I plan on speaking to an advisor about this next week, but it would put my mind at ease if anyone knew the answer. Thank you.

Hey Dixie! What are your scores on the pre-reqs and teas exam??
I got a 77.3 on Teas and all 60 on Pre-reqs. so 137.3 for my total. I will be applying to the Anderson campus and am not sure if I should retake my teas or not. Wishing you the best luck!

You’ll get in with that score.

I believe you can head into the medical assistant program and still apply in September to start the nursing programs in the spring. At least I've heard so.

Hi everyone! Congrats to those who have been accepted and good luck to those who are still waiting. I will be starting the RN program at the Lawrence campus.

I scored 45 on the prereqs and 73 on the TEAS, so just 118 total. I worked so hard for that score, but I understand that it isn’t super high. I have a friend who had just 8 points more than me and got accepted to an RN program on the first round. I’ve already checked my email today, but I’m guessing and hoping it’s still too early.

Last few rounds, they've been getting emails around 9. I'm praying it's still too early too. I applied with a 121 and haven't heard anything yet either :(

Please do post if you get an email! I read 9ish as well.

I will. I'm so nervous.

I didn't get my email until 10 something. Guess it just depends.

Oops sorry I lied. It was around 9.

Good luck to those still anxiously awaiting! I was fortunate to have been selected 1st round, and honestly, I didn't think I would. I don't think I could have managed waiting any longer! Definite kudos for those hanging in there and not giving up! *Fingers crossed*!!!

I heard somewhere that Ivytech will be giving 5 extra points for being a CNA starting in the Spring. If you don't get in this time maybe you could work on your CNA this Fall. Good luck guys!
