Ivy Tech Fall 2019 Hopefuls

Published

I don't believe there is a board already started. I am ready to take my TEAS test in January and apply for the Fall 2019 nursing program. I just wanted to make a board so we can all keep each other up to date. I am only able to apply at my main campus in Lafayette, IN in the Fall so I decided to wait. I hope this is a place we can offer each other support and share our scores before we wait for the news! Good luck everyone and study hard!

I GOT ACCEPTED TO THE LPN PROGRAM!!! It’s not exactly what I wanted but I’m so thankful and blessed I got any kind of acceptance email. To anyone that may get discouraged: DONT!! I felt this way for 3 weeks and it’s been the worst feeling. I was 100% sure I was not going to get any kind of acceptance but there is still a chance!

I didn't get into the ASN anywhere but did get into PN at Richmond.

I got the LPN acceptance letter as well and I will take it will 100% gratefulness. I’ve worked so hard for this. If you didn’t get in then don’t be discouraged- keep trying!!!

I'm so relieved!

Me too! You and I had a similar score so my advisor said to only apply for the PN program because sometimes if you apply for both with our scores then you may not get into either program. I got my letter in the first round. Congrats on your letter! I bet you feel better! I’m just anxious to hear about orientation.

Congratulations! You applied to Bloomington right? Maybe I'll see you around!

I'm not sure whether it will be next week or the week after when they send out the orientation emails. I'm eager to hear about it too.

Yes I did! ??

I forgot to mention I am going to the Terre Haute campus. Anybody else?

And does anyone know if RN students and PN take some of the same classes? A friend got accepted to the RN program there and I am wondering if we will have them together at all.

They’re a little different from each other but I heard the first semester is the same so you could reapply for the RN program after the first semester. I thought about retaking the TEAS and reapplying.

Im sure the first semester is the same, but you would have to start over if you got accepted into the RN program after reapplying, just curious why you would want to do that?

First semester isn't quite the same. The LPNs and RNs do take fundamentals and lab together. But that's where the similarities end.
