Ivy Tech Fall 2019 Hopefuls

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I don't believe there is a board already started. I am ready to take my TEAS test in January and apply for the Fall 2019 nursing program. I just wanted to make a board so we can all keep each other up to date. I am only able to apply at my main campus in Lafayette, IN in the Fall so I decided to wait. I hope this is a place we can offer each other support and share our scores before we wait for the news! Good luck everyone and study hard!

Hi! I am currently down to my last three pre reqs, hoping to start in the fall too !!!

I would be going to the Fort Wayne campus, only option.

How has it been so far for you?!

I have done all my pre-reqs as I transferred in so I am just waiting until January for the TEAS and am applying at Lafayette as my main, second Indianapolis, and then Logansport

I think I am also taking my TEAS in January but I'm confirming the date with my advisor next week. It was all crazy when we were discussing it the last time

Finished all my pre-reqs, taking my TEAS next month. I'm applying to the Lawrence campus as first choice, but Muncie as a backup.

Good luck PurplePixieDust!

Just took my TEAS and if all my math is correct I am applying with a 136! I hope that will get me in to my #1! Good luck everyone!

That sounds like it could be a competitive score!

Good luck to everyone. It’s not as bad or scary as everyone makes it out to be. I just graduated the Lawrence campus Dec 15th, passed nclex on the 22nd of January and start my new job on the burn icu at Riley hospital on the 11th. The hardest part of school is the short notice of scheduling and the time commitment to clinical and out of class things like service learning for ob peds and mental health clinicals. It will be overwhelming to stay on top of prep u assignments and pharm is a bear, but all of it is very doable.

There are only 3 pre req classes. Do you mean 3 co req classes? If you can, take microbiology because it transfers to more places for your BSN. It is the hardest class I’ve ever taken at Lawrence campus.

Just got home from my TEAS! I will be applying to the Lawrence campus with a total score of 129.58. Here's hoping it's competitive enough!

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site. Found it by searching for some info on google, but it looks like we are all in the same boat. I finished my prereqs last semester and am taking A&P2, Micro, and Human Sexuality (PSYC240) this semester to finish off the non-NRSG courses. I took my TEAS today and if I did the calculation right, I have 134.03/160 for admission points for Fort Wayne (an alternate campus is not an option for me unfortunately). There is a little over 2 weeks until the online applications become available!

Now that that's done, I can re-focus on my current classes.

Although....is it too early to buy a stethoscope? I'm super excited but I don't want to jump the gun...…..but tax time is here and I will have the money soon to get a good one.

Congrats on passing the NCLEX Leadkrm! I've heard it was a beast of a test.
